Hello,

I would like to call upon those with access to such information, or those who have used the service, to perhaps please tell me what unit is booked to work this service. Specifically whether it's possible to know what's booked to work it tomorrow morning?

Thanks

There is a dedicated thread at the top of this sub-forum called TOPS Request Thread. Your best bet to ask there.

However what I can answer is that said service will not be allocated until the early hours of tomorrow morning.

it could be any type of 350 ( other than a 350/4!) Hopefully not a 350/2................

As my numb bum knows all to well... and to make matters worse you then sail past a Tring stopper which has been allocated a 350/1!

It is NM414 diagram which is booked for a 4 car 350/1 or 350/3.
However anything could turn up.

Thanks.

I should have clarified that I'm not particularly interested in the unit number, but, as some have guessed, the unit type.

I have no choice but to take this train, but if it's a 350/2 I need to assess the social implications of needing to drink excessively in the morning to cope with this torment.

That one is always rammed into Euston, Every single day we are e-mailed that one is full and standing from somewhere between Northampton and Hemel so a /2 would probably be useful! It is generally formed if diagrams are stuck to by the rear unit off the previous nights 1U45 so should be a 110mph unit as others have said.

I would avoid this train at all costs. As said above, it is regularly full and standing well before Watford, especially as it is the first fast off-peak from a few stations (people gravitate to it instead of the 0946 from Watford (this train is at 0959) because "no stops = faster").

One time I was training in Birmingham and I took it from Wolverhampton to Birmingham and it was equally packed and dire as well there. No doubt it cleared out at Birmingham and fills up further south but it is not pleasant!

I do agree that is frustrating, although the Tring circuits are not a self-contained diagram (except the odd peak 319) so the 350/1 or 350/3 units you see working Tring's will have come off or are going onto a long distance service.

For example the 13:34 Euston to Tring is formed off the 13:17 arrival from Birmingham.

The 11:04 Euston to Tring which was a 350/3 today was formed off the 10:47 arrival from Birmingham too.
