So last night 221128 whisked me away on the 1902 Stafford to Plymouth (1V67 1805 ex-Manchester) and luckily my seat was a forward facing seat. However I realised that usually the train reverses at Birmingham.
I looked on Real Time Trains and noticed that we were booked to go via Bordesley Junction and not via Five Ways which meant luckily that we didn't go backwards. I always thought all services go via Five Ways?
I know on the way up my train went through Five Ways. Are they just allocated at random or are they booked certain routes?
