London Overground Station Assistants/Customer Hosts

Hi,

I am wanting to apply for a role within LOROL. I wanted some info on the roles of both Customer Host and Station Assistant as well as their salaries.
Would be good to hear from anyone who has worked or do work for LOROL and their opinion on the company, as well as any
staff benefits you get ie. staff travel, annual leave entitlement, sick pay etc.

There's a Station Assistant job currently advertised on the Lorol website, it says that the salary is £25,208pa for a 36 Hr week.

I'm not sure about the other concessions, but you get a Priv (75% discount off most non-Advance tickets), free travel on other Tocs in the same group [not sure if this will change with the new concession which starts later this year], and also a TfL Staff Oyster card for you and someone living with you which gives free travel on LU, Overground, TfL Rail, London buses, London Trams, DLR, and a limited number of NR routes.

You get 2 Staff Oyster cards (travel free on trains,tube,buses, DLR...oyster zone), one for yourself and the other one for your nominee who should reside at the same address.

Arriva Reciprocal Travel card: Travel free on Chiltern, Cross Country, Arriva Trains Wales, Grand Central, Arriva Northern, Tyne and Wear.

Toc Card ...pay 25% on the rest of TOCs

FIP 25% in Europe and Eurostar.

LOROL is a 50-50 joint venture between MTR and Arriva Trains UK operating the current concession up to October 2016. New concession was awarded to Arriva Trains London owned 100% by the Arriva Group which will take over from LOROL in October 2016.
