What are your favourite board games and why?

My favourites are Monopoly and Scrabble, because I added their application on Facebook.

You are more likely to add the app on Facebook because you like them, not the other way round 8)

Personally, I kind of like Monopoly in it's various forms (Chavopoly and Microsoft's Monopoly being two favourite variants!) but they have overmarketed it a bit in latter years. The latest versions make use of pseudo credit cards and a "payment terminal" insted of currency, for goodness sake!:roll::sad:

Other favourites of mine include Chess, Draughts, Blackjack (A.K.A. "21" or "Pontoon"), Craps, Baccarat, and Roulette...But I should point out that most of the time I get for playing "board" games only really comes whenever I'm visiting a casino!:lol:<D

Remember Ludo? Used to love it when you jumped someone's counter so they had to put it back on the start point. Their faces were always a good source of amusement for me.

Then again, I was about 6 at the time...

Fluxx is a good card game that you need a board (or table) to play on.

The Really Nasty Horse Racing game is good for a while, till everyone knows all the tactics.

But by far the most amusing board game I have played is 'The Great Brain Robbery'.

Oh, I forgot another favourite of mine when I posted above... 8)

Mornington Crescent - Under the LRT Byelaws 1941CE: One must ensure that the game is played upon a table or other suitably sturdy board. Although playing the game does not necessarily require one, the same will become very convenient should air-raid sirens sound whilst play is in progress, and the "Osama Convention of 2001CE" (To be finalised in a future edition) need to be employed by all players...
