Anyobe know what the C/S 92's are up to these days? Would have thought more would be on the sleepers but the 90's seem to still be doing most of the work these days, even the ECS runs. I know one Class 92 is operational every other day on 1S26/1M11, but apart from that one, all others are still 90 hauled depsite many 92's being full functional. Can anyone suggest why this is?

Thanks,
Leo

Yes - only 92014 has had the modifications so far to make them more reliable under NR's flakey catenary. It is effectively on test (going well so far it seems) and once proven the mods will be applied to all the GBRf 92s and they'll return to the sleepers.

That said, you do sometimes get one on the Edinburgh-Carstairs portion of the lowland train - I had 92018 on it about 10 days ago.
