Cromford. Willersley Tunnel is at the end of the platform.

And Matlock - although there is a bridge between the platform end and Holt Lane tunnel you still pretty much come out of the tunnel and into the station..

All this depends on the rough definition of "close" (and, indeed, "tunnel"), which could be 1) visible from the station, 2) a train length from the station, 3) within a signal section from the station, or even; 4) when mobile 'phone reception is interrupted!

These would include Dorking (Betchworth tunnel), Wimbledon (the "tunnel" being under the road and shopping centre) and Rannoch (snow tunnel), for example.

Conway Park has tunnels portals either end; although it is essentially an underground station with the roof cut out.

Green Lane also has two tunnels either end. Birkenhead Park is just beyond the underground section into Hamilton Square.

It's closed now, but Manton had a tunnel at the south end. Can't remember how far.

What about Corby? I forget what the station was like. Not sure how far it was from the tunnel.

Woodhead, Dunford Bridge, Chesterfield Central, Nottingham Victoria and Ashby Magna.

Leicester (south end, quite short - not much more than a long/deep overbridge, but as far as I remember it's actually built as several short tunnels side by side).

Don't know if anyone has mentioned it yet but Oldham Werneth was next to a tunnel so is New Mills Central.

Penhelig is a strange one as its on an embankment between two tunnels.

Penhelig on the Cambrian Coast.

Best one in Wales but no closed was Talyllyn Junction points literally were in tunnel mouth and both platforms went up to edge of it.

Bournemouth, I don't think has come up yet.

Holdenhurst Rd tunnel at the London end. Not actually shown in the online (public version) sectional appendix, and there was some doubt about its length in a previous thread looking for shortest tunnels. Quail reckons 50 yards.

If we are allowing closed ones, the platforms at Stockport Tiviot Dale Station ended/started immediately at the mouth of Tiviot Dale Tunnel.

I don't think we've mentioned Crystal Palace (another one where a junction is almost inside a tunnel) and Streatham Hill (pretty near Leigham Court Tunnel).

Someone must have mentioned Grindleford and Disley but if they haven't I have.
