Did anyone actually receive confirmation that their application had been received by the recruitment team?

It could be worse guys you could have written a cover letter in the email itself rather than attach a word document! Did not realise they were scanning for attachments so I'm now not holding any hope! Lesson learnt

How do you know it won't be accepted just on the email?? I've always done this when applying for all the jobs I've had!

My cover letter was the in the body of the email, my CV was attached.

For those worrying about the online assessment, they give you a link to a practice test before you take the actual assessment.

Well, I've just completed the online tests. That was intense to say the least! I'm hoping it's the kind of thing nobody can complete 100% correctly unless they're Rainman :D

On a side issue... Does anyone know what sort of turns the VTEC Doncaster drivers do? I can't imagine any that wouldn't be covered by KGX or Newcastle.

Hi, I am a new member of this forum (hello to everyone) and have been fortunate to receive an invitation to complete an online "checking test" with SHL/CEB. Spent time last night reviewing their site and sat a couple of their tests. I did find the full length practice test quite challenging especially when trying to complete them within the time limits. My question to anyone who is willing to help is are these practice tests going to be truly representative of the actual "checking" test that I will eventually have to sit?

Hi, I have just posted a question relating to this online test.

Did you visit the SHL site beforehand to review their sample tests and if so are these sample tests representative of the test that you actually sat.

I couldn't find anything like the actual test to practice beforehand, only one or two sample questions. But..... when you actually follow the link to take the test you can have one complete run through in practice mode.

Thanks for the reply...was reluctant to click the link in case it started the test and there was no going back. Just have to hope that the actual test I sit isn't quite as demanding as the Numerical or Deductive reasoning sample tests that are available online with SHL.
