Would be great if someone would say what type of online test it is (SJT etc etc) but I can understand what with the vast competition why people wouldnt want to divulge

It's been mentioned in earlier posts. It's a checking test and there's plenty of practice material.

Accuracy is the key. It's better to not answer than to guess and be incorrect.

Anybody else who hasn't got through yet looked over your cover letter again and thinking you could have made it stronger? I am now, but didn't want to sound desperate ;)

Hi Everyone,

I've just completed the test (not easy!) and was wondering, anyone else that has also completed it, did you receive any email afterwards?

I got another email seemingly straight after, identical to the previous one asking me to complete an online test! When I logged on though, it says I have completed it and have no more to do.

Has this happened to anyone else?

Which depot have you applied for?

I didn't apply for a depot in particular and just put which was closer (kings cross) as i'm currently located in the south east but originally from the midlands so moving wouldn't bother me

My cover letter was pretty basic and just written in the main body of the email, It won't really wow but I like to think its simplicity will come across as honest and genuine. Could be massively wrong though lol :D

Same happened to me, but it said tests completed so I'm not fretting

Good luck mate, I really hope you are successful. Keeping it simple and honest in my opinion is always the best policy.

If they have.. so far, they're not telling..

To be honest I imagine they'll do everyone at once in a one off e-mailshot once they have their compiled list of rejected names from the first phase sift..

I'd go with this. I think the 1st Nov will be -

A) Rejection for those that didn't pass initial sift
B) Invite or Rejection for those that have completed online assessments considering the first AC is supposed to be Nov 8th in London.

I'll keep on mercilessly refreshing my e-mail then.. till I hear one way or t'other..

Though I'd rather not be a recipient.. the 25% discount is a nice touch..

I don't think this question has been asked, I'm just wondering how old the people are who have been accepted, and how old the ones are who have been rejected, that might give us an insight into what age bracket they are looking for.

I never include any information pertaining to age, other than a previous 10 year employment history.. and in this case a verification I was over 21y.o.

So as far as they're concerned up until this point I could be 26 or 66 :)
Whether that's a help or hindrance I couldn't tell you, but at least they can't really discriminate against me based on age..

No but they can discriminate against you for not answering the questions they ask you to answer. Unfortunately.
