Good that folk are finding out. I'm intrigued as the checking test wasn't part of what we had to do (altered since I went through it last year)

What sort of things were apart of it?

is there a practice test available?

I've clicked the link but the list of tests don't include a checking one

Just got an email asking me to take a 20 min checking test. I applied for Leeds depot.

I received a second email 30 minutes later.. exactly the same email, exactly the same test.. strange?

Anyway I've completed the test

part 5 is tough, but out of the 25 I know I've clicked one wrong as I panicked! but the other 24 i'm very confident over

I'd advise everyone to take the practice test as it really helps when you do the real test on part 5. I got 21/25 on the practice one after failing part 5 miserably, but that was due to not getting my 5 second timings right and answering just 1 of the final 5. this helped me so much for the real thing as I was able to answer all 5

I haven't done the test (although I did just get an invite to do a 'checking' test).

It's possible this test is an additional step they've added to the process to whittle down the vast number of candidates quickly, and probably why it's altered since you doing it..

If I remember correctly from the advert the whole process was basically listed as..

1. Application.. (Letter & CV)
2. Invite to an assessment centre
3. Invite for psychometric evaluation
4. Start training..

I'm guessing these online assessments are step 1.5

I would agree. I'd say max for each assessment day would be 100 if that? So a test is no doubt needed to whittle down 15000 people

I still haven't heard anything. I wonder if the bulk of the rejections are going to hear tomorrow.

I don't wish to be a party pooper but 117 db cargo drivers are about to be made redundant across West and South Yorkshire.

Not really sure what relevance that has to recruitment for new VTEC stock?

Will that really make a difference though because if they wanted qualified drivers only they wouldn't have asked for trainees surely

Indeed, but have they only just been made redundant? And therefore missed the boat for this one as it's now closed?

Not that it's beyond the realms of possibility for all of your applications to be binned in favour of trying to hire these drivers.

That won't affect this round of recruitment.

I agree and disagree with that statement. Whilst I still think they will take on trainees it will surely make business sense to take on some suitable already qualified displaced DBC drivers. Will that reduce the number of trainees.......?

Hello all

I applied and have not heard anything yet, just posting to receive notifications.

Good luck to all and hope there are a few of us left waiting.
