A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to talk to the railway photographer Les Nixon after one of his presentations.
One of the pictures was of a signal box on the woodhead line near a level crossing somewhere near Penistone.
He mentioned that the LC still had the rails inlaid and he thought it might be some of the last surviving track.
Unfortunately I've forgotten the directions/location he gave me.
Does anyone have any idea where I'm talking about?
