That makes the assumption that a) new buses are due for the 42-5 and b) that there wouldn't be any cascading of mid life B9s away from Bristol

A) That's why i said "If"

B) Where did i say that the B9s wont be moved?

Its only a "assumption" that the 6/7s are getting branded ALXs its not confirmed....

they may be 17 years old but I'd rather drive them than the new heaps !

I remember when they were new and were good! A few times when they hadn't been cleaned for a while and was packed I did find them quite stuffy. But all in all they have lasted very well considering they have been fairly neglected over the years.

Yeah, and if my auntie had...... you can fill the rest in ;)

In terms of "B", surely if you were thinking that the B9s could stay around and be rebranded, then it discounts them being moved?

3 bus working from what i can tell. Starts at 7 and ends at 5. Is it not worthy of a couple of later journeys?

Wonder what vechicles would be used, I remember the 5 having Marshall Darts. The timetable looks as though it's running at least 5 minutes before Crosville's 105/5 timetable.

Think it was home to V-HBY Marshall Darts. Darts or e200s would be the most logical option.

However.... *****RUMOUR AND UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIM ALERT*****

The UK Buses website has something interesting. It is a site that often carries out of date or duff info so I'm generally suspicious but appearing on there - e200 44076-80 allegedly due from First Essex.

The picture in 'The Word' yesterday showed a mock up of an ALX400 with the branding applied for services 6 and 7 in Bristol.

With regards to Weston, there was a RUMOUR that more Streetlites are being moved into Weston for the 3s. So the logical step if there is a 5, some of the E200s will be moved across. Unless enough Streetlites are sourced to provide a uniform fleet on Weston town services. Another idea maybe Darts as Weston allready have 2, there is probably another knocking around somewhere which could be used.

I would agree that darts are reasonable suggestion. There are as you say two there already which seem to act as support buses, and with darts SUPPOSEDLY coming off the X9 soon, then that might free up a couple of extras to go to WM. I might also suggest (and this is just my idea, based on no information at all) that Weston town services might get similar branding to what the Bath services are expected to receive at some point in the next year or two. (Maybe a different colour scheme though).

I thought these were the long awaited vehicles for Taunton but that might have changed.

I've heard rumours it will be darts. Maybe 42947/8/62/63?

Services changing in April in Bristol (Most of these are likely to be City Centre changes)

1,2,3,4,8,9,24,36,70,72,73,75,902,903,A1,UWE

Note that there's some change for the 75 but not the 76. Which suggests that the change for the 75 will be more than city centre changes, as the 76 uses the same bus stops as the 76 in that region. Am intrigued what the 75 change will be. Though probably it will be just be minor timetable ammendments.

So the changes will be Sunday 2nd April this year(unlike last year when it was unusually late May for some reason). Surprised there's no VOSA preview of these changes yet, as usually it's online about 7 or 8 weeks before the changes.

Similarly E200's 44001 - 44004 are shown here, albeit unallocated:-

Only other stuff interesting on VOSA in the last week is the 20 changing along with Weymouth services changing (details can be found on Hampshire forum) and those already discussed on the thread (Bristol changes from April, Minehead and 21 changes).

Rail staff using Temple Meads are being advised that due to road works in association with the Temple Gate development there will be disruption in and around Temple Meads station from late April.

Work will be ongoing for 12 months. This will probably affect bus services, are any changes planned?

So would indicate the four are the BoS ones and the five listed for FWoE aren't?

Hmmm. That is interesting. So on UK buses it shows 44001-4 moving into BoS and 44076-80 moving into West of England. I guess if it is right (which I'm a bit unsure of - as the B7s in Chelmsford that were displaced by E200MMCs are moving to Yorkshire and Hadleigh. Only 5 are moving to Hadleigh, meaning that 5 vehicles will be displaced and not 9), then the 5 E200s could be for Weston. The only other place would be for Bath, but I don't know what they'd go on.

It was reported on the FHD forum that it is:
3 x 63 plate from Berkshire.
3 x 11 plate from South Yorkshire.
4 x 57 plate from Essex.*

To transfer into BoS. So 44001-4 would make sense.
The 3 from South Yorkshire will be 44925-7.
At a guess I'd say its 44560-2 from Berkshire - looks like they're the slightly smaller versions too.

Haven't they already had the e200 from FHDB in 44534 etc?
