Ok. Well I was wondering if it was an inspection saloon?
If not I shall have to keep trying different mk1 types until about 4am.

Non of the above, but Mr Cowley in posting #960 was the warmest so far so I would go back to that post read it again then think about a certain operator.

To me it looked more brown than maroon, so I thought ex-WR choc/cream... hmm. Is it a BCK?

Good Morning All,

Take another look at the picture, it's now been considerably expanded with extra detail.

Thanks Mr Bridge. That wasn't too easy.
Well this one isn't mainline registered by any stretch of the imagination but other ones are so I hope that's ok.

Is it a class 121 DMU?

Well yes it's a Bubble car anyway. :) A bit rough though, unlike the Chiltern ones (tenuous I know, but a bit short on pictures)

It is the SDR. I get them mixed up, it probably is a 122.

I don't think the 122s had the 4 character headcode boxes which the 121s were fitted with, just the earlier 2 digit affair below the cabs central window.

Running short of pics like you now so this is the best I can offer...

142, there's one knocking around these parts with one door that has this colour paint instead of the usual yellow.

Excellent work RJ21 :)

142039 awaiting departure in Stockport's platform 3a for Stalybridge April 5th 2013, didn't realise that wife and daughter were also part of the platform furniture in this shot when first posting.

Well while Jonathan is searching through his extensive stockpile of class 156 toilets and tamper pictures (careful how you say that), I'll stick this one on here just to keep you all going :)

Haha, that's true. I'd give you a clue but it's gone 11 now so I can't because I've gone to the bad place again <D

I can't make head or tail of that, could it be a platform edge in the foreground with the darker bit in the centre of the shot the deck of some sort of flat wagon Mr C?
