You two have passed assessments previously then? I'm in the same boat but not heard anything so I'm guessing the same for me, or should I phone up?

If so, is their number on their website?
I would say so mate, I wasn't going to call until Sim said he had spoken to them and they were helpful. I called the number on the recruitment page on their site and was put through to the right people. Good luck ??????

I am in the same position as yourself. Passed both assessments last year, I'm actually in the talent pool for another TOC, and I haven't yet heard from Chiltern.
However I called them today and they weren't as helpful as they were for yourself. I was told they will contact me in due course as they had 700 applicants and they are still contacting people. Wouldn't give me an indication whether I passed the paper sift.
A friend of mine is in the same position as you Ruud. They told him that they haven't completed the full sift yet and would be in touch soon. I guess they must be doing it in stages. Good luck buddy.

Did they take your name?
The lady asked what job I had applied for, took my name and few other details and then told me the info I posted on here.
Must depend on who answers the phone, I mean some people can just be more helpful than others.
I honesty think all rejections have gone out.

Work friend had his stage 1 with them today, said they will get back to him in a week, I'm guessing they'll pass the info onto Chiltern so anyone who will be going straight to DMIs will have a longer wait it seems.

Told me they didn't do DFFT either.

Normally you're told in the day whether you passed staff one of not. Makes me think again that Chiltern are harvesting candidates by the top x% rather than putting everyone to stage 2 who achieves a set mark.

Yeah she took my name. But I just think it depends on who answers the phone. Hopefully I'll hear something soon!

Sat tests today, enhanced scores required by Chiltern, results within 7 days, DMs present confirmed most vacancies are Aylesbury and Marylebone, for this intake it is planned to take 6 internal and 4 external candidates, course planned for October, however more drivers will be needed, up to 20 was mentioned, so another course may run back to back, or early next year. That is all the info I gleaned, good luck to all!

they go quickly too dont they! how about the dials?

Dials and the rest I thought was straight forward and should pass, but the tones I'm not so sure about, the other part of the tea occ was ok, hope all three tea occ are a combined result!

This tallies with what I heard too, if all the vacancies are for aylesbury and London though, there was a sprinkling of brummies there too so a Brum course is in the offing.

Training is conducted in Aylesbury. Zero chance of Birmingham I'm afraid.

Ah, semantics dear Billy.

Yes, i know the course won't be held in Birmingham, but the number of people from Birmingham I know either invited to assessment I straight to dmi indicates there is a planned intake for Brum. Doubtless the trainees will commute down daily or be out in hotels.

I have a feeling they will be looking at future courses, so will want people ready to go if they need to put more courses on this or next year. Potentially there are a lot of Chiltern Drivers retiring over the next 12-24 months.

I live north Coventry and can make Aylesbury in about 1 hr 20 mins so possibly too far for them to consider me for October course.

Hopefully they'll let us know about stage one soon. I got to final interview for Depot Driver for Chiltern last year and all the stages/ interviews were very close together.

Good luck everyone.

I suppose all you can do is get "location" clarified in your interview and if it's not what you want then make a decision.
Job advertisement stated "where business needs drivers" which could mean at any of their depots.
Saying that if people were told on the assessment it's likely to be Aylesbury and Marylebone then I'd say that's where business needs drivers.

Hi everyone. I assume that many of you have taken your assessments by now? How did everyone find them?

Advanced passes required so extra pressure on the day. I really prepared for the tests but suppose it's what happens on the day. Group bourdon I think I got down to about 10 lines and with no mistakes until the very last line on the last sheet as we were told to stop I noticed I'd missed one group of dots at the end but 100% certain that was my only omission.

Next was glop. Fairly straight forward. Perhaps one wrong answer.

Dials I found easy managed 32 answers from 40 I think.

Tea occ. probably the hardest. Had a slight panick at the start as I started to mark the wrong sheet but regained composure and was ok with no mistakes on lift beeps I think. Although I missed one group of pairs at the very end of page.

Hopefully it's enough for the enhanced pass !

Don't be worried about how others did - honestly. Guy sat next to me was mega quick. As in he nearly finished all lines on all sections of GB, he got to Q40 on Dials, finished the memory test paper and finished both yellow and pink sheet on tea-OCC. Problem was he turned to me and said that was better than he thought especially when looking for restaurants on pink sheet with double symbols. I mentioned pink and yellow sheet were ok but they tried to catch you out by putting other trades in the list with double symbols. He thought that "ALL" names on pink sheet were restaurants or places to eat hence why he was only looking for the double symbols and not looking at the names of the trade as well. I think you get marked down for mistakes on that test as they said be as accurate as possible at the start. So accuracy was key throughout in my opinion.

That sounds promising mate :) I have made it through based on my previous test results so must've achieved an advanced pass. I reached 10 lines myself when I did the dots, don't worry about one mistake, that alone won't hinder your chances. Same with the glop, certainly 1 error wouldn't be enough to stop you.

Sounds like you've done well, all the best mate!

the tones whilst searching the directory part- was there 6 or 10 'strings of tones' in the test you did?

Are you sure about that Cheggers? I remember the OPC guy specifically explaining all entries were all the same type of service providers (plumbers for one of them) not just once but twice, because someone asked for clarification on that. Are you saying you checked them and there were different types on there?
