can anyone please tell me the cheapest way to get from Waterloo to a EMT service i have a priv.

Or perhaps a Clapham Junction to West Hampstead Stns Priv Single (+Any Permitted) at £1.50 for connections at St Pancras.

Walk to Blackfriars. A single from there to St Pancras is about 80p.

Or just walk all the way if you can. It's not that far.

Also Waterloo East to St Pancras is the same price I think but routed Not Underground. I think tickets are being accepted on LUL to London Bridge atm due to Thameslink works.

Get it loaded onto an Oyster Card. If you walk along the South Bank to Blackfriars then take the train from there, it'll be 60p.

... assuming that you can find someone who knows what they are doing.

Going by various reports from people on the forum, it's quite hit and miss.

And the pertinent point that may not have been made yet is whether the OP refers to "priv" as safeguarded or TOCNE. If the latter it would have to be a National Rail origin to National Rail destination ticket with the maltese cross.

Indeed, not always the easiest process. When I had mine added, the first member of staff tried to put it as a National Rail Railcard instead. The actual process is pretty easy, and when I did it last the member of staff was nice enough to just log onto the ticket machine and let me do it myself. I'm pretty certain they've never been told the process.

Note that this weekend Waterloo East, Charing Cross, London Bridge and Canon Street are all closed with some Southeastern services diverted in to Blackfriars.
The bus alternative is to come out of Waterloo at the War memorial exit down the stairs across the road through the arches to Tenison Way stop K, Bus 59 goes to St Pancras every 5 mins, journey time just under 30 mins. £1.50 single

I've done the walk from Waterloo to Blackfriars when on an ALR and when I didn't feel like paying extra to get the tube.

It's a nice stroll when it's sunny.
