For me it has to be the Streelite, it has a terrible ride quality. What's yours?

The ELC-bodied Scanias that Metrobus use. The suspension is somewhat akin to having an iron girder under your bum and when turning corners the body would visibly flex in the opposite direction!

Nowhere near enough to a Pacer :(
As a general rule of thumb anything built by ADL, generally for build and ride quality and reliability however the acceptions to this are the new MMC versions of the range which seam better in terms of build anyway and also those opperated by companies who give a **** about propperly looking after them.

I also far prefer ADL boddied stuff with the Scania or Volvo chassie.

Doubt that there's any left in service anywhere now but the Optare Metroriders could have a bit of a bumpy ride, especially if you were sat near the back

Anything by Wrightbus! The Streetlites are horrible and the Volvos with Wrightbus Eclipse bodies don't age well

The Streetlite doesn't seem to be suitable for any routes where the bus needs to go at over 30mph.

I like the Scania Omnideckers, don't like the Omnicity Double Deck though.

My most hated bus is the Original Enviro 200/400 and all of the ADL Darts that came before it, cheaply built rattly pieces of crap, thankfully the MMC models are better.

I remember a few years ago when travelling between Buxton and Bakewell I got Scania Omnicity in one direction - the seats weren't that comfortable and the interior was a bit tired but the bus rode very well. On the way back I got a brand new Enviro 200 and even little bump in the road could be felt.

The 10/61-plate E200s with Urban90 seating operated by Glasgow Citybus. My bones practically weep when one appears on my 17. Loathsome things. Their 12-plate examples, while still prone to the trademark Enviro rattle, are far more comfortable and miles better to travel in.

The Wrightbus Streetlite, horrible horrible!
Even more unpleasant when painted in First bus colours.

For me, it has to be the Enviro 200MMC. Such ugly things!

Whilst the MMCs have generally better reviews, I have to say I much prefer the original layout of both the 200 and 400 series.

FFS - all these people who don't like Streetlites. Have they not travelled on a short e200 with Urban 90 seats?? Terrible seats, atrocious construction, horrific ride quality....

Bit niche, but the Temsa Avenue has to be experienced to be believed.

Also, now thankfully mainly gone, but the Daf SB220LF with Plaxton Prestige bodywork was a special type of rubbish. Easily worse than any Streetlite.

Do not mention Urban 90 seats, the man who created those needs shot. Alot of people might hate Wrightbus Streetlite, but alas there very good on the fuel...

The bus I hate the most.... Gardner engine Leyland Olympian, cramp, slow and awful just awful.

Round here we had MPDs with Urban 90 seats. They were something else.

And as you say, I don't know how anyone who went on a DAF Prestige (or any Prestige, really, the Volvo ones were no better) can moan about Streetlites.

I don't think the Temsa counts as a bus, more a CIA torture experiment that accidentally got out into the wild.

Dennis / Alexander Tridents. Horrendous machines i think due to the ride quality and age of some of them

Surprised nobody has mentioned the Plaxton Primo. They are usually for sale on the cheap...because they're generally unreliable and parts are getting harder to get.

Optare Excels are also horrible due to their reliability...always avoid them unless you want a bad time.

Didn't mind the Excels when Trent Barton used them. The ones Ipswich Bus have on the other hand....

Loathed Harrow Weald Metroline plaxton presidents. Awful maintainence, and loud fans. Now nearly all gone :D replaced by Gemini 3s

Any ex first London bus - the purple interiors are soo faded, and first Londons policy of everything purple makes it impossible for another operator to put it in their colours

Come to think of it, all b7tl buses are horrible. Arriva London ones are crap, and so are Metroline's

Not a big fan of plaxton presidents

Wright Streetdeck, ugly thing & dislike the panels in the corners at the front of the top deck.

All time East Lancs E2000 Darts, & Volvo B6s both suffer cramped legroom you had to be less than 5ft to bee comfortable

Here there are on a bus https://www.flickr.com/photos/thrashmerchant/4160608167/ First had seats like that on a few of there buses back in the 90s just as bad.

AFAIK, First didn't specify Urban 90s (though did have something similar). However, Arriva most certainly did with East Lancs Lowlanders on long inter-urban services like York to Doncaster/Leeds/Goole or Darlington to Newcastle.

I really can't get my head around people these days citing the Streetlite. Yes, it's lightweight and whines but it's not a patch on the e200 which is dreadful.

However, there are some real turkeys out there. The Optare Vecta was so bad, every operator got rid of theirs prematurely other than Arriva NE; they had so many that they had to suffer though many were parked up VOR and left to disintegrate/were cannibalised whilst many of those remaining had to have the MAN drivetrains replaced with Cummins.

The worst was probably the Willowbrook 003 body, usually on the Leopard chassis. Good chassis but the bodywork was poorly built with drafts from poorly fitted panels, seats were uncomfortable, trim would fall off, with such corrosion that many were scrapped after TEN years.

I think the all-time worst for me was the Dodgy/Renault S56, although to be honest I'd be happy to see a bit of variety these days. It's all 07/08 plate E200s around here.

Optare Solos - They go soooo slowly and they are just painful when on long routes. Not to mention loud and way too hot...

I've never had an issue with the Solos. They were a big improvement over the front-engined Mercedes minibuses I had to endure before. I suppose it's all relative, really.
