If he's gonna propose to her, it will be at Kyle of Lochalsh or he isn't going to do it at all!! Might have a very miffed Vikki for the rest of the tour!!

*And he'd better do it in a kilt too....

Would make a good one-hour documentary on TV> The plus is all the filming has been done, so it only needs putting together and a talk-over. It's what TV likes these days, loads and loads of dirt-cheap footage as in all the cop-chasing, customs, let's have a laugh at someone falling over shows. Only interesting.

Except the point about it being interesting means it will never happen.

I can't see how you can possibly condense a project to visit 2,563 railway stations into a one-hour show.

For a start a huge number are missed off anyway. Just pick an hour's worth of the best of the rest - sure there's a lot to choose from; but there are some of more interest than others; Reddish; Huddersfield for the cat; S-C line etc etc. I'd pick those stations which the fewest know about, and other oddities like "the cutest train in Britain"!
I have learned a lot I didn't know - virtually right from the start. If one hour is too short, maybe a series of six half-hours.
Be a shame to have all that footage rotting away on youtube, after all it cost a few grand from the public to make!!

I thought if they'd left the GSWR line to the last, the very final station would be Gretna. Where better place to get wed:D

All the stations...yet not all of em. Many stations and routes have been missed in my opinion.

I love the way everyone thinks their opinion carries more weight than facts. I keep having this discussion with my kids who seem to think that a personal opinion trumps just about any other view regardless of actual reality.

They've boarded, alighted or been on trains that have called at every station they've said they're going to. They've explained quite how long it would take to board or alight at every station. They always stated that the videos would not cover everything (and did try to get funding to go to 5 videos per week).

What, exactly, have they missed?

Indeed. Geoff is a several-time record holder for The Tube Challenge and is using a sort-of adaptation of Tube Challenge rules. The complicated part of that is obviously that unlike LU, there are just a few stations where not everything stops. To actually change trains at every station would cause real issues everywhere outside of major conurbations and especially on limited service or parliamentary-type routes/stations.

They did challenge people to work out how long it would take to do just the Heart of Wales line on that basis as an example

Anywhere. That place is a cross between a tourist trap and a rather grotty service station, which appeared to have a production-line style approach to weddings.

They've travelled on trains that have called/are calling at every station in GB.

They've shot videos every single day, but only had enough funding for four videos a week. Combining several days into one would have cost more.

They still have plenty of material that we haven't yet seen - that may form part of the documentary at the end.

Don't know for sure but someone said so on Facebook (or Youtube maybe). I hope they don't propose on a film, seems a bit egotistical to be honest.

Be fair, any zelebrity will announce their birth/death/marriage/divorce/haircut/holiday and so on on twitter, facebook, ITV 2, instagram, flickr....would be nice if a couple could show a bit of class for once!!!

In a lot of the episodes Vicki is wearing a ring, so I'd say they were already enganged.

Not sure how they will be finished by the end of the week, they still have the Far North, Kyle and West Highland lines to do, these would take a day each to do them justice, unless they've planning to do what they did with the Tyne Valley and Hope Valley, give us 30 seconds of each at the end of the episodes...

Giving "...us 30 seconds of each at the end of the episodes..." doesn't speed up the journey time. They still have to travel the line, stop at all the stations even if it then ends up on the cutting room floor

Exactly. There appears to be this perverse view that if we can't see it then it didn't happen. It's a new twist on the "post truth" society I suppose.

Given that the project 'YouTube's' just over half of what goes on I'm still not sure what some people are expecting.

They also post a lot of stuff (photos, extra videos) on other outlets such as Facebook and Instagram, they probably should have made this clearer from the off as some people maybe don't realise?

Am I right in thinking they did miss a station in the SE (cancellations??) and they have to go back to it - or have they already gone back and ticked it?

Also, does Newhaven Marine count as a station these days?!!

Everything in England and Wales has been covered according to the map. They missed Horsham at one point too having turned around at Dorking and have mad that back at some point too.

The same people would probably complain if they uploaded all 7 hours of every single day, saying that they were being egotistical
