Scarilly enough last night I got asked if I was a forum member last night by the driver of a Scottish Citylink coach! He was not a member himself but sometimes reads bits and bobs to keep his hand in so to speek. The reason he asked me was the overhearing of part of a phone conversation between me and our very own Mr Cowley in which the Cross City line, New Street and such things were briefly touched upon.

How funny. Well if you're reading this Mr Scottish Citylink driver. Hello! :D

Indeed. Quite shocked he had the headspace to listen actually, the rain on the M8 was coming down in a way that would have had Noa dashing to B and Q for wood. Thankfully it stopped whilst wating for my local bus connection on the outskirts of Edinburgh.

On Sunday at the LT Museum depot open weekend I was stopped by furlong.

On Monday I had just come up the escalators from the LU station into St Pancras Int'l and I saw Pumbaa, on his way to work.

*waves*

Coincidentally, I was on my way to work on Monday morning and saw Mojo as I walked through St Pancras...

Me and Frodshamfella were one of a trio on the final Chester - Runcorn service of this year a few weeks ago, albeit sitting in different places.

On my way to do the VT reversals at Liverpool South Parkway, boarded my first train at Dewsbury to bump into IanXC who was heading to do DalesRail

Certainly made a welcome surprise for the trip across the Pennines into Manchester

Sorry to butt in on this conversation but what are these VT reversals?
VT (& other TOCs) are terminating their trains at Liverpool South Parkway because of the Lime Street blockade.

They are indeed, however, specifically, Virgin Trains Pendolinos are too long for all but one platform, which has been specially, temporarily extended.

There additionally is no signalled move for such trains to depart from said platform in a Runcorn/London direction, so VT services depart towards Liverpool, travel as far as Allerton Signal AN4 before reversing to head back through a different platform at Liverpool South Parkway and onwards to Runcorn and ultimately London.

Cheers Ian - I knew trains were starting/terminating there but was not aware the there was an unusual "manoeuvre" involved with trains carrying passengers.

I thought I saw Crossover at Liverpool Central on Sunday-but wasn't certain it was him so didn't go over (sorry!). Sent him a PM later on and it was indeed Crossover I saw!

Just seen @185143 at Wigan North Western station while waiting for my train back from the footy. He was on his way to Manchester so was waiting on a delayed (surprise surprise) TPE.

I have never bumped into anyone from here!

.....or have I?

I had a nice chat with a conductor at Faversham the other day whilst waiting for my train which as usual for Southeastern, was late. I never had the chance to ask him whether he was a forum member as he needed to go suddenly to talk to one of his colleagues who had just come up the stairs. I wonder...

I asked a member of staff at Watford Junction where the Gents was earlier. Upon doing so (admittedly after a couple of PM exchanges about 2 hours previously-meaning I knew his first name and that he was at work) I realised I was talking to Causton!

I was also at Kings X/St Pancras underground station this morning, at about 09:30 intending to get the 10:15 from St Pancras.
Didn't see you guys though.

I saw @43094 unexpectedly at York platform 5. He was getting a train in the opposite directtion but at the same time as me.

It was convenient as it enabled a document exchange to take place earlier than originally planned ;)
