I'm guessing these will be the '12' reg examples from the Allestree. They have a sandwich board in Derby bus station proclaiming that there are 'newer buses with USB ports coming soon!'. A whole 12 months newer!!

And quite a bit smaller!

The first one has been vinyl'd up. The new livery is in the same style as the Ilkeston Flyer, with the sky blue part being replaced with the current green.

This looks like it could take a bit of strain off Skylink Derby

Arriva have sent leaflets to every household in Derby today extolling the merits of their Alvaston services, 1, 1A and F1. advertising a £2.50 return fare from Alvaston to Derby which sounds like good value.

Obviously a counter attack against Yourbus, I don't know how the fares compare but it would seem that Arriva are sufficiently concerned about loss of passengers for retaliation to be taken.

As far as I'm aware, they are just being re-registered under a different licence.

I think we would have heard if the entire operation of all Link bus services were actually being withdrawn.

That would be this one I assume

We have an exciting and challenging position with Nottingham Community Transport - If you're reading this, it could be for you

VACANCY – DEPUTY OPERATIONS MANAGER
Due to further recent expansion and in preparation for the formation of our new trading identity, we have created the new role of Deputy Operations Manager.

Would save the confusion of NCT (Nottingham City Transport) and NCT (Nottingham Community Transport) aka CT4 Nottingham operating in the city

CT4N re-registered them today - so new branding. Ecolink now scheduled to use new stops on Daleside Road, not the P&R itself from today
A new stop has also appeared on the railway bridge near Lady Bay Retail Park. The CT4N brand isn't surprising, it's been used by them for a while as a short form!

Noticed this week the AOT 8 is running around in a deliveried bus from elsewhere in the country rather than the usual one.

Didn't Premier go bus years ago?

Slightly related to the withdrawal of the AOT 8.
I wonder how long it will be in the future, if ever, Trent Barton will revise their routes or timetables in the Hucknall area as a consequence of the significant amount of large new housing developments that are springing up around the town and also planned for the future.

There are now hundreds of new houses that have recently been built to the south of Papplewick Lane and now more are being built adjacent to the Vaughan Estate to the north of Papplewick Lane. There’s also been significant development around Bestwood Village. Will the 141, if only just on the section between Hucknall and Nottingham, need to have its evening and Sunday services restored.
To the west of Hucknall towards the the M1 and Watnall there’s now a large new development on the old Hucknall airfield near Rolls Royce, yet Westville and that part of Watnall Road is only served by the Amberline which again does not run in the evenings or on Sundays.

About 50 houses have recently been built on Wighay Road, again on the 141 route, towards Linby north of Hucknall. Over the next 10 years this is to become a huge development of up to 3,000 homes on the fields between Linby and Newstead.

Is it Premiere that's been resurrected as something else ? - I can't recall who they may now be [Nottingham Coaches ?]

I think Nottingham coaches have (some of) the same directors as Premiere did. I would think though if AOT couldn't make it pay on their shoe-string costs, probably no one can. Out of interest, does this leave any stops unserved or was it a complete duplicate of something or something else?

There may be a requirement on the developer to fund a bus service once xx dwellings have been completed. On the other hand I expect they will be mainly building 4 and 5 bed mansions that cost £££+ and (off topic) do absolutely nothing to resolve the apparent housing crisis by simply being out of reach of anyone who could afford to buy a house for the first time, and (on topic) the chances of the occupiers of such mansions using a bus service is very unlikely.

There is a van hood coach running around in full Premiere livery but I believe is part of Nottingham coaches I base this on last spring had to catch rrb one early Sunday to East Midlands Parkway and 2 coaches turned up one was Nottingham Coaches that ran direct and the other was a Premiere via Beeston and the drivers sort of said see you back in the yard. I have recently seen the Van Hool so it still around.
