Hi All
I had a short trip to Cornwall and saw at Summercourt
23008/23316
32051/930
33175
43865/67/68
68567 plus one other ex Go North East
then rode on 30872 to Newquay on the 90 and noted
43873
working the 21's 32048/049 42873
25 43866/871
A5 33172/177
85 33004 42874
then rode to TRuro on 32883 on the 90 with some fast running on the open road sections.
In Truro noted that all the Tinner services were new red Tinner buses and all the Uni services except one were Uni buses 33007 being the exception.
32955 sat in the Bus Station all the time I was there and working were
22 42558 43861 53154
27 32030/760 33242
36 30875
46 42924
47 42559/860
50 42563 53827
66 53403
87 30879 33112/180
90 32873
93 33067/174
95 33173
I note that the buses working between Newquay and Truro all interwork with a bus starting at Newquay on the 87 working back from Truro as a 90 then working a return trip on the 93 and then to Truro as a 90 before finally workin a 87 back to Newquay.
Still no sign of 42358.
Hope this is of interest
Colin

Not much going on so I will revive the talk of bus stop flags! Here are images of some on routes no longer served by First:-

As an aside, it's always a bit of fun when you suddenly find a roadside relic from days gone by. Especially operators who disappeared some time ago.

A mate of mine lives in Market Harborough where you can still find a Midland Fox bus stop (!) and local to me, I know of four original Badgerline flags and some of the later 1996 era Badgerline F ones.

There's the odd First Western National reference at St Ives bus station but wonder if Western National survives anywhere else?

I doubt there are any Western National marked bus stop flags left in Cornwall, happy to be proved wrong though!

On staff wages according to several driver friends who all report their wages show as paid by western national.

Interesting. I thought this one had passed to FHD for the Brockenhurst College contract.

Could of possibly, misread the number than saw it quickly passing me and was just getting dark so could be my error as I didn't know about the transfers to FHD

Think November 16th 2016 was the launch day if I recall correctly, but they seem to be performing more efficiently than their '12' plate E400 predecessors, haven't had many major problems so far

I'm pretty sure that no open-topper has been out and about in service in Penzance for the past week, so I hope all speculation about their continued use into late Autumn/ early Winter has been quashed.

Around seven of them were visible at Penzance depot a few days ago.

Anyone seen the green Scania 65764 recently?

I've heard some/(all?) now taxed and insured for all year use.
Previously they've had limited availability.

A dd Atlantic Coaster was on the U4 today, not something I've seen before, even when it was the 2. A Mousehole-liveried bus was on the 16 this afternoon too.

Another Atlantic Coaster Trident on the U4 today - haven't seen a 'correct' bus on the service for a few days now, not that I see every journey of course. A short Optare (unable to ascertain the livery) is on the A17 tonight.

ALX400 Volvo B7TL 30874 W729DWX left Camborne this week most likely for scrap after spending the best part of the year parked up due to gearbox failure last year. After being stripped of parts the fitters did attempt to put it back together but their efforts appeared to have stalled on that front. Sister bus 30876 has recently had another engine put in it after its own went bang most likely from 30874.

I would think that the two poorly Tridents at Camborne will probably be going the same way at some point.

The 14:00 U4 service from Penryn Campus to Penzance (Penwith College) on Thursday actually had a Blue MMC on it, last Tuesday the 10:05 service from Penryn Campus to Penzance had an East Lancashire Lolyne on it
