Another Atlantic Coaster Trident on the U4 today - haven't seen a 'correct' bus on the service for a few days now, not that I see every journey of course. A short Optare (unable to ascertain the livery) is on the A17 tonight.
The Atlantic Coaster Tridents do seem to be busy today, the 16:10 85 service from Truro to Newquay was worked by an Atlantic Coaster Trident aswell, they now basically work the whole of Cornwall from Lands End up to Padstow, cover more areas of the Duchy than any other class in Kernow's fleet

The 14:00 U4 service from Penryn Campus to Penzance (Penwith College) on Thursday actually had a Blue MMC on it, last Tuesday the 10:05 service from Penryn Campus to Penzance had an East Lancashire Lolyne on it

That 14.00 service and return is usually the most likely to sport a blue MMC : I see it most days, must have missed it on Thursday!

PJ02 PZE (and 32051 V336 LGC) had a very brief stay with Newport Transport in South Wales after being collected by them from Newcastle in September.

Are the latest arrivals from Ensign to supplement or replace some of the original batch?

Seeing the tremendous resources poured into services from Truro College, I wonder how the passenger numbers stack up. I ask because, based in Penzance as I am, I regularly witness the U4 service that commences from Penwith Collage in the afternoon (Penwith and Truro Colleges share common management) and it appears to carry no passengers on the section between the college and Market Jew Street on a regular basis: last week I also caught the A17 service that diverts via Humphry Davy School on its way to St Ives in the afternoon and (again) absolutely no passengers, school or otherwise, were gained on this section: given that the Treneere Estate poses a lot of problems for full-size buses at any time, let alone school finishing time, should this operation be reviewed?

Maybe the capacity of the full size bus is required earlier or later in the duty and saves swapping buses around?

The type of bus is fairly arbitrary and will vary from day to day. I'm not suggesting a smaller bus be used. more that it should be ascertained whether any schoolkids are regularly using the bus and, if not, the diversion be withdrawn and the journey take the regular routeing, because stops on the normal routeing are not being served.

Interesting point you make there as today one of the coaster Scania's 65760 was out on the U4 still displaying 2 on the blind which I'm sure the traffic commissioner would take a very dim view on. The U4 is only registered to go as far as Penryn Campus however on the other working I noticed it was screened up for Falmouth as that was where the old 2 terminated. Considering its been two months now since this change took place they'd atleast make sure the buses on this route have had their blinds reprogrammed.

Seen a blue uni enviro up in Bodmin today.
On the subject of Bodmin, today was my first encounter with their new roundabouts. They are the most ridiculous things I’ve ever seen.

That's not very good at all, as you said they have had plenty of time for the changes especially as the U4 change was finalised at the end of August, thought all the fleet had been changed now the Tridents and East Lancashire Lolynes I have seen had displayed U4

When the Tinner brand was launched back in February, for many months I think until May, all non -E400 vehicles still displayed 14 and 18, once saw a Dennis Dart at Camborne displaying 14 St Ives on it, so not like it hasn't happened before

I'd heard there was only one person enabled to software change the blinds. So he has to travel around Cornwall to the depots. Vehicles out during the day, so night time visits to catch them as they came back to their home depot. However, each night some are diagrammed to return to Camborne or Truro at regular intervals, so it's a moving platform he's working on. Not as easy job as it seems.

Some notable observations this morning:-

Coach 20502 on the 1040 "39A" Camborne to Penzance.
Vario 56002 on the 0935 "47" Truro to Troon and 1130 "47" Troon to Truro.

The latter had a paper route number displayed in front windscreen.
