Personally I don't think no one has been informed yet. Maybe they are still deciding. No one has come forward to say about medicals etc as that would be the next stage.

I’m at work till 4 so will try after that

They could possibly contacting the unsuccessful candidates and ones they want to place into talent pool first.
They did mention at my interview that there was definantly one possibly more vacancies to fill immediatley.

Hopefully we hear something soon

That was a thought of mine aswell. Surely they would let unsuccessful people know first Maybe? I don't know. I was told exactly the same thing . But really thought we would have heard by now seeing as the second lot of interviews was conducted last Wednesday. Juts trying to see this as good news and not bad.

In my corner of employment world, we let the successful ones know 1st (in case anyone rejects) and then work down the list of not successful :/

Not necessarily. At the LM station I work at, out of the 6 newest dispatchers taken on over the last 3 years none were already in the railway industry. Sorry to hear of unsuccessful applications there nonetheless.

Working at a airport? I did that at BHX but would not call it aviation.

So sounds like most of the succssful ones are placed in the pool. Am I the only one who has been asked to attend a medical next week?

Really? Working at an airport is not classed as working in the aviation sector?

Presumably you have a very limited knowledge of roles within that field then.

I have exceptional knowledge of aviation and aircraft from being a aviation aircraft tech in the navy. Working in a shop or lounge in a airport is not aviation.

Fair enough. I tow, dispatch, service, handle, hangar, and marshall aircraft as well as maintaining a whole VIP facility and dealing with all the CSA side of things so I definitely class myself as working in aviation . : )

I would be truly amazed if any new starters are current Railway employees. And I know for a fact internals don’t want these jobs. After all, Dispatch is the first rung on the ladder. Best of luck to those who were unsuccessful and congratulations to those who were successful.
