I'm sure this is up there as one of the most pointless 7 Day Season tickets you can buy. Possibly more so considering the dates on it.

Heres a copy of an Interail ticket I used for a trip last summer, along with the enclosed journey log, the bottom third (ish) was attached from the guide book and glued on. Im afraid I no longer seem to have any of the reservations I bought. I also buy Lakes Day Rangers every few weeks so I can upload one of those whenever I next head in that direction.

Not entirely, but did buy it for a trip there. One guard was astounded that I bought it, the other oddly didn't seem phased!

Not sure if anyone can help me but here goes.
I m trying to collect a ticket from every station window machine , every station platform machine, every conductor machine and, finally, every travel agent machine. I have collected 14,000 up to now but there are still many more i need. I have been doing this for about 3 years now so anything from that point to the present day are the key areas. i am very keen on the Avantix mobile tickets of which there are many I still need. Of course one machine could print off several different NLCs.

Here's a Merseytravel All Zones Trio ticket - this is a ticket that covers all local buses, trains and ferries in Merseyside. Possibly one of the most illogically and needlessly complicated ticket there is.

• The ticket is needlessly large (5" wide and 3¼" high without wallet, 5¼" wide and 3¾" high with wallet).
  
• The photocard and ticket are in one piece.
  
• There are four areas, subdivided into ten zones, and there's six different types of ticket - one zone, two zones, three zones, one area, one area + one zone, all zones. Tickets have the zones of validity pre-printed.
• As you'd expect from the above, if you want to renew with different zones you need a new ticket, you can only buy a ticket from a station where it's valid, and it's possible for a station to run out of one ticket type.
• The ticket has no valid from date, just an expiry date, so you can't buy in advance (but some ticket sellers will issue a day or two in advance and take you at your word that you won't travel until you should).
• The photo is stuck into the ticket with plastic film like with a railcard, but it seems it'd be easily tampered with as it only sticks on one side (though that may just be my ticket).

Issuing the ticket is equally illogical:

• Get the ticket for the correct zones, which needs to be replaced every time you want to change zones.
• Insert the photo into the ticket.
• Stick a sticker onto the ticket, which not only has the actual zones/areas of validity pre-printed on it but also the period (so a station could be out of weekly/monthly tickets but able to sell annual tickets).
• Write the serial number of the ticket onto the sticker.
• Use a date stamp to stamp the expiry date onto the sticker.
• When you're having the ticket renewed, a new sticker is placed on top of the old one, so a weekly ticket could become very thick after a year, and I've seen some passengers with very thick tickets.

The tickets also seem not to have changed in many years - the back is very out of date - there is no longer an Area/Zone E, and the Zone C2/C3 overlap is now also overlapped by a Zone A3.

Derbyshrie Wayfare tickets have been re-designed slightly since the 2012 image which currently appears in the album. A few points to note.
1. Change of description from "One Day Ranger" to "Rail Ranger".
2. Change of validity from "As Advertised" to "01 Days".
3. Change of valid from "One Day" to "00M01D".
4. Change of cover colour to Red (although I believe this changes every year?)
The tickets also feature a survey on the back which wasn't previous included on the existing image. This particular Wayfarer also belongs in a rare group of ranger tickets successfully purchased from Sheffield ticket office well (over an hour) before the start of their validity period!

Also attached is a recent Plus Bus ticket which features the "Plus Bus offer" route which wasn't previously in the gallery.

Purchased an advance ticket on the day from a ticket office for a Northern service a few days ago. Anyone know what #00218# references to? On advance tickets that's usually where it says what train that ticket is valid on which doesn't appear on this one, the guard didn't say anything when they came through but I didn't want to draw attention and they might not have noticed.

Some Eurostar tickets issued in Germany. The Britrail-Pass is an odd one, the travelagent had never booked one before and the computer would not accept the then standard stock but required an unknown "supplement ticket" form, only to cross out all the preprinted fields.
The GNER tickets were booked online and collected at a machine at Kings Cross, i was quite surprised to get the ATB-style ticket.

I have a collection of about 200 tickets from the 1980s and a couple of dozen from the 1960s that I seem to have picked up somewhere.

London odds and sods, Tube tickets with Originating station on. Intercity from Cardiff to Teesside, West Midlands etc, the odd Heritage railway. Even got some platform tickets!

The sixties tickets are for no journeys that I recognise, and seem fairly random.

I'd be happy to pass these on to a good home but would request that you donate my postage costs to the ARC charity. (Hopefully not too many of you will know what that is.)

P.S. I note that in the mid 80s a Seat Reservation cost £1 a time. Bloody hell that was a pint and a half of beer in them days!

I'm surprised to see an expiry date on it. Why on earth would you have one of those??? There isn't one on my Oyster card, nor one on Jetpack_Johnny's Key smartcards shown above that I can see.

The smartcards with the one year validity were ordered when they first came out when they were only valid between Penarth-Cardiff, and Shrewsbury-Wrexham. As more routes became smart ticket enabled and we realised the whole thing actually works the smartcards now have a ten year validity. Speaking of which, I need to order a new one.
