Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!

Let's pick the bones out of this latest missive, shall we?
It wasn't Obama that decided to move the embassy, it was Bush in 2008.
The US did not own the embassy, it was leased from the Duke Of Westminster on a 999-year lease on a rent of one golden peppercorn per annum, so they didn't sell it for 'peanuts'.

Fake news it seems, Trump denies saying what he said. Just another 'normal' day in the White House then.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-42664173

US President Donald Trump has denied using crude words attributed to him about Haiti, El Salvador and African countries.

Reports that he had called them "****hole countries" in an Oval Office meeting generated a backlash worldwide.

One UN official called the remarks racist and said they opened "the door to humanity's worst side".

But Mr Trump has tweeted that "this was not the language" he used in a meeting about immigration.

He wrote that the language he used was "tough, but this was not the language used".

Lost somewhere within Bank-Monument tube station,
So, uh, Botswana are not particularly happy about Trump's alleged comments regarding African countries...

Politico said:
The government of Botswana has fired back at President Donald Trump over his comments calling African countries and others “****hole” countries and is calling on other nations to condemn his remarks as well.

“The Government of Botswana is wondering why President Trump must use this descriptor and derogatory word, when talking about countries with whom the U.S. has had cordial and mutually beneficial bilateral relations for so many years,” the Republic of Botswana said in a statement.

“Botswana has accepted U.S. citizens within her borders over the years and continues to host U.S. guests and senior government officials, including a Congressional delegation that will come to Botswana at the end of this month,” the statement also noted. “That is why we view the utterances by the current American President as highly irresponsible, reprehensible and racist.”

Botswana urged the Southern African Development Community, an intergovernmental organization comprised of 15 member states, as well as the African Union and “all other progressive nations across the world” to take a stand against Drumpf’s statements.

Trump on Friday appeared to deny using this particular phrase, tweeting “the language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used.”

I agree with Trump. The afore mentioned countries are all ****holes with high levels of crime and poor living standards. I would not be taking my holidays there.
There are many places in the USA which I would avoid due to high crime levels and poor living standards. I would holiday in The Gambia in preference to Southern Louisiana for example.

Same goes for many places in the US.

Trump wonders why they can’t get many migrants from “like, Norway”, and wonders why they can only attract people from “****holes”. This is because a very large portion of the US is a ****hole.

As above, and the point still stands that it’s good to see someone stand up to him.

Anyway he doesn’t even agree with himself if he’s now claiming that he didn’t say it...

Come on Cowley, that was fake news. He never said it. That was just all his enemies making stuff up, he is a mentally stable genius, he said so himself.

Because Norway has a sufficiently greater quality of life than the ****holes Trump has listed, and very likely even the United States. Surely Trump of all people would know nobody ever said "I will crawl through barbed wires and over sharp pointed fences to crawl out of this democratic first world country to live in a socialist dump like Venezuala"? Then again, wordly knowledge isn't his strong point is it? Perhaps I'll start listening to him if he can point out the correct picture in a scenario where one is Detroit, and the other is Hiroshima just after the atomic bomb, without any guidance or clues. (Yes, I get that the Democrats have been running Michigan until now).

He probably couldn't point to it on a map anyway, thinks its near Ontario.

A lot of Americans probably couldn't point out Norway on a map. Then again, they're not the President of the United States. Do you reckon Trump is one of those people who thinks Tokyo is in China, Hong Kong is the capital of Japan, Singapore is the capital of Malaysia, and Bangkok is located on one of the islands of Greece? Honestly I wouldn't be that surprised myself.

My ex girlfriend once tried to track down family members from across the globe. A lady from the US got in touch to say that she was also Irish (My ex wasn't) and my ex asked where in Ireland this ladies relatives were from. The answer was Copenhagen.

Wow. Just wow. I watched a video the other day of Americans trying to point out Asian countries on the map, but that? That just takes the cake (I mean Americans are pretty obese). Maybe one day your ex might be able to find her family members in Dubai, India or Beruit, Wisconsin.

In at least one objective measure it does: 2016 Human Development Index.

I rest my case then. Thanks for the info, but don't let Donald see that. He'll get mad at his enemies paying off Wikipedia to spread lies and propaganda about the US quality of life to undermine his presidency despite the fact this index was before he was even inaugurated.

I'll give The Dong-ald one thing... It has been quite amusing to see the likes of Evan Davies on Newsnight say the word "sh*th*les" with a straight face!

Something that got missed in all the discussion of s******* countries was Donald Trump's interview with the Wall Street Journal. I haven't read the full transcript yet but the excerpts that I have read bring to mind the question as to if he is mentally fit for the job.

This one quote I think gives a hint:

Just – and so – so I was successful, successful, successful. I was always the best athlete, people don’t know that. But I was successful at everything I ever did and then I run for president, first time -- first time, not three times, not six times. I ran for president first time and lo and behold, I win. And then people say oh, is he a smart person? I’m smarter than all of them put together, but they can’t admit it. They had a bad year.

The USA economy is actually booming and the Dow Jones is at record levels, so he must be doing something right.
