Fulham seem to be the only side whose "play-off hangover" hasn't lasted all season. Reading aren't setting the world on fire and Sheffield Wednesday also find themselves looking over their shoulders nervously...

Huddersfield lost 0-2 to Spurs at Wembley, the first time we've even conceded a goal there since 1995*! Today's game was very much a free hit though, our fate won't be decided today.

In ex-Terrier news, Joe Lolley now of Nottingham Forest helped his side to a 2-0 win over Birmingham City which will have pleased him (he's a Villa fan) and also helped bring Steve Cotterill his p45 from the Bluenose owners.

*= admittedly we haven't scored at Wembley since then either, but that hadn't prevented us winning the 2 games we've played there thanks to penalty shootouts!

Your name is Richard Osman and I claim my five pounds!

Heh, I'm tall but not that tall! He sits in the Riverside stand so quite often see him walking through before kick off in the Hammersmith end. Nice chap, always stops to chat with people, take photos etc.

Yes, I've always had the impression that he's a genuine supporter and goes as often as he can - thanks.

Only West Brom, and palace have a worse points return than Chelsea and Arsenal over the last 5 games.

I must say that the recent poor league form exhibited by both Chelsea and Arsenal must have been viewed with some satisfaction at both Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, with an eye to finishing in the top four.
I'll honest I have been quite happy with the performance of Arsenal and Chelsea.

Crystal Palace, when leading 2-0 just after half time, should have consolidated matters against Manchester United, but the poor tactics employed by their manager at that point in time were shown for what they were when the final whistle came and they lost 2-3.

I have no love for the team from Stretford as a result of being at high school in the 1990s, but I must admit that I celebrated that winning goal as if it had been dispatched by Steve Mounié rather than Nemanja Matic!

I thought 'Woy' was a tactical genius? In fairness he's done a lot better than I expected since taking over at Selhurst Park but there's still every chance they'll go down.

I was at the game with my daughter and a friend last night, and while it was pretty boring, I thought they did well to keep Porto at bay without getting out of second gear. Personally, I think Coutinho's departure has given us more balance on the pitch, and van Dijk has transformed our defence. Credit to Karius too, he's played very well lately.

On the other hand, Sheffield Wednesday are absolute garbage this season. If we're not careful we'll be playing in League 1 next season.

International bottle job Spuds dumped out of Champions League. Giorgio Chiellini indicated post match that Juve could exploit that lack of bottle.

Trophies won under best manager ever Mauricio Pochettino: 0
level of media love for best manager ever Mauricio Pochettino: 27000000000

EDIT - that is a lie: Poch has won 4 ( yes 4!) manager of the month awards.

PS last trophy won by Spurs: 2008 league cup under......................Juande Ramos ;)

Yeah, I’ll never understand why Pochettino is so well-regarded by the media. He hasn’t won anything yet and doesn’t look like doing so.

Spurs lack bottle and next season they’ll be lacking Kane. Will be good to watch them fade away again. Never liked either Spurs or Arsenal.

Me neither and hopefully AC Milan will do the business tonight.

Tottenham bottle the big occasion once again, Juventus just had the know how and they were also denied the most stonewall penalty you could wish to see. Allegri made the necessary tactical changes whilst Poch stood there with his hands in his pockets looking clueless.

Is is co-host from "Saint and Greavsie" (anyone remember that ?) Ian St John still sound of mind and body.

He was on this at the end of last year, I just got round to watching it last weekend... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b09g3d4s

Isn't it great. :D

I was born in and brought up in an area of County Durham that was very much dominated by Sunderland supporters, they were insufferable. I was up there for a few pints at the end of last season and it's completely changed, quite a few said they would be in League One in a years time and how right they were. Rudderless.

Looking like a freefall through the leagues to League 2 next year as well, apparently 10 players out of contract and they have the maximum number of loans allowed at the moment, who will be going back to their parent clubs at the end of the . No money available to spend at all due to debt, falling income and a HUGE £69M loan to be paid back at the end of next season, loving it, soon all they'll have left is '6 in a row FTM'

Currently laughing at those who wanted Wenger to stay last year. Hahahahaha.

Even funnier laughing at the poor lambs that want him out, after not being in a cup final for 11 days, being in the Champions League 20 seasons in a row, won a cup 21 months ago

There’s first place or there’s no place. Arsenal in my view bred the best side ever to grace the Premier League - the “Invincibles”; the only PL side good enough in my view to have been worthy of any sort comparison to Liverpool’s side of 83-84. That Liverpool side is the best in the televised era of the game.

Since then, Arsenal have been bloody mediocre, and what’s worse is they’ve had a consistent character problem. They’re more often outfought than outplayed.

Wenger revolutionised the way we think about football in England but in the last ten years Arsenal have been a consistent disappointment.

Nobody cares about the FA or League Cups any more. You’ve got to be winning the League or the Champions League to be successful now.

Compare that to what Chelsea have achieved over the last decade or so because that's the barometer.

You could not make this up. The man who tried to destroy our football club welcomed with open arms as a saviour at Hartlepooh United. Some of the quotes are frankly bizarre:

Hartlepooh Mail said:
Hartlepool United president Jeff Stelling has urged Poolies to welcome former Darlington chairman Raj Singh with open arms, should his proposed takeover materialise......Stelling says Singh is determined to prove to the North East footballing world that he is fit to run a club, despite perceived failings at rivals Darlington.....although they did not know the whole story....his intentions are to right a perceived wrong from Darlington. “He wants to show that he can be the right type of person to run a football club and he has chosen that club to be Hartlepool.”

https://www.hartlepoolmail.co.uk/sp...rges-hartlepool-fans-to-welcome-him-1-9050720

perceived failings? perceived wrongs? Don't know the whole story? Dont make me laugh.

It is also worth noting that they want lots of money from the the supporters trust in return for a minority holding and a seat on the board. Hartlepooh fans should be very worried indeed. They should look at what went on at our club and think very hard about this.

Bit gutted against the Mancs today. Good game though. Rashford took his goals well. We never took our chances.

Evo Stik First Division North

Droylsden 1...Hyde United 3

The local derby went ahead after a pitch inspection with Droylsden leading 1-0 at half-time but Hyde took their second-half chances well, scoring three of them. Hyde are top of the division tonight, as South Shields match was postponed.

Scarborough Athletic in third place lost their match at home 2-3 to fourth place Bamber Bridge, to open up a slight gap between second and third places.

Three points against Wolves opens the top of championship up further. We got lucky with some penalty decisions not given but overall we outplayed them

Us and Cardiff to go up and Wolves to face West Brom next season
