You can download free un-zipping tools, which would allow you to access them.

You don't need Mediafire, it's a file host from where you download the files. For unzipping, 7-Zip is excellent and free.

They're not .RWP files are they?

If so, you'll need to run the "utilities" program in your Railworks directory.

Right, you need to find your Railworks directory....

If you've got the Steam version:-

On the Steam page, go to where it says "Train Simulator" at the top left hand side
Right click and choose "PROPERTIES" - should be at the bottom
Then click the LOCAL FILES Tab
Click the button/tab that says BROWSE LOCAL FILES

This should open up your Train Simulator Directory...

Scroll down to near the bottom, and you will find a file called UTILITIES*.
Double click on it to run it
Click on the PACKAGE MANAGER Tab and then the INSTALL Button

Choose the .RWP file you want to install - I suggest making a directory on your desktop and putting all your .RWP files in there.
Click OPEN.

Hopefully this will install the .RWP file for you..

*Might be worth making a Shortcut to this file for your Desktop.

Hope this helps!!

You may have to go into the folders and copy the shape files (.GeoPcDx) into the folders with the reskins in them. The readme that should have been included with the downloads of the reskin will tell you where these are.

Thats unusual, @superalbs is usually very good with those sort of things. Oh well, I've copied the installation instructions for the VTEC HST here:

1. Extract the contents of this archive to a location of your choice.
2. Navigate to your RailWorks install folder. Double-click a file called ‘Utilities.exe’.
3. In ‘Utilities.exe’, head to the tab called ‘Package Manager’, then click ‘Install’.
4. Locate and select the ‘BHReskins_Superalbs_Virgin_East_Coast_HST.rwp’ you previously extracted from the archive, then press open.
5. Once the green bar has disappeared, you may close package manager.
6. Head to the following directory in your RailWorks folder: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\FGW\Class43’
7. Copy the file named ‘class43_fgw.GeoPcDx’, and paste it in the following directory: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\VTEC\Class43’
8. Head to the following directory in your RailWorks folder: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\Intercity_swallow\Mk3TFO’
9. Copy the file named ‘mk3tfo_ic.GeoPcDx’, and paste it in the following directory: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\VTEC\Mk3\1\2\Mk3TFO’
10. Head to the following directory in your RailWorks folder: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\Intercity_swallow\Mk3TRFB’
11. Copy the file named ‘mk3trfb_ic.GeoPcDx’, and paste it in the following directory: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\VTEC\Mk3\1\2\Mk3TRFB’
12. Head to the following directory in your RailWorks folder: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\Intercity_swallow\Mk3TSO’
13. Copy the file named ‘mk3tso_ic.GeoPcDx’, and paste it in the following directory: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\ VTEC\Mk3\1\2\Mk3TSO’
14. Head to the following directory in your RailWorks folder: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\BR_IC125\Mk3TSO’
15. Copy the file named ‘mk3tgs.GeoPcDx’, and paste it in the following directory: ‘RailWorks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\RailVehicles\Diesel\HST\VTEC\Mk3\1\2\Mk3TSO’
16. Launch ‘Train Simulator’, clear the cache, and the reskin should have successfully been installed.
To use this reskin in scenarios, you may need to tick the product folder in superalbs>vtechst.

I can't find a superalbs class 91 on his website though, so I can't help there I'm afraid.

Hi all,

I too am having issues with the Superalbs VTEC reskins. I've downloaded several other (excellent) reskins from that site, and managed to install them with no issues, but I've been through the whole process twice for the VTEC HST and I'm still left with no train appearing whenever I try to play scenarios that are supposed to use it (like the DP simulation ECML pack).

I have the AP MTU HST pack installed, are there any other requirements I need to get these reskins to work?

if you head over to www.alanthomsonsim.com you can download The HST and 91 packs in .exe format this will install everything for you in one go
cheers

Thanks - I've had a fun evening on that site, I must say the repaints are stunning! Doesn't help me get the DPS scenarios to work but I'm loving the scenarios that are on the Alanthomson site so they'll keep me going all the same. I'm assuming this is connected to AP in some way? It would explain the quality if so.
