Has anyone else applied for this. I’ve completed the application and assessment. Does anyone else know what I can expect next if I’m successful.

If you are successful you'll be invited to attend an assessment day in Southampton. They will provide you with practice material before the day. And should you be successful on the day they will arrange an interview to be held on another day but again in Southampton. Hope that helps and good luck.

Hello Marc,
I applied for a Commercial Guard at Farnham. I applied 2 months ago and last week, I received an invite for an assessment day at Southampton.
When you say you have completed the assessment, I guess you mean the personality questionnaire and mini SJT in the application form. As the above poster mentions, if successful through the initial sift, you get a pdf attachment in the email that describes all the exercises and gives you practice. The assessments conducted are the following:
Colour Vision
Numerical Computation
Verbal Comprehension
Customer Service Scenarios
Safe Concentration and Attention Test
Railway Verbal Communication Exercise

I thought I read somewhere else that you got a trainee driver job with Virgin. What happened to that?

Yes I did. I was just telling Marc approximate time frames between application and assessment days.

That’s really helpful thanks. Yes I filled in the mini SJT which was tough as some of the questions there was only one clear least appropriate answer. I take it I will only know if I’ve got through the sift when I get in invited to the assessment centre

Hi there sorry to jump in on the thread but I have my assessment tomorrow in Southampton. Does anyone know roughly how many people attend at the same time or are you assessed individually?

It is as a group-I was given the opportunity to come tomorrow as well for an assessment day for the same role. Did you apply for Farnham? I am not sure if everyone at the assessment centre on the day will necessarily be applying for the same depot though.

Hi, I did apply for Farnham but my letter states Woking which I also applied for. Are you attending tomorrow?

Oh ok. My invite didn’t even mention which depot but I knew I only applied to Farnham.
