A belgian magazine I subscribe to says that Thalys hired two ex-NOL sets. It did not specifý the numbers.

They've gone for 3217/8 instead; apparently it's for the THALYS equivalent of SNCF's budget OuiGo TGV services.

It'll be for IZY then, wonder if they'll just run a single train per day in each direction using it?...as they did have two TGV Reseau sets in the livery

Yes, Izy - I just couldn't remember the name of it.

They've only got one TGV now, 4551. The fleet was too tight for them to have two, so the other one went back to the regular THALYS fleet.

1258 St Pancras - Brussels was a last minute substitution for an unrefurbished 373. Haven’t got the number (I’m sitting on it at the moment) but my goodness, the ride is amazing on these things.
Hang on, I thought that was often a TMST set anyway?

Has anyone got pictures of a 373 being scrapped?

other than the links attached above (credit to those who took the photos of course), Kingsbury is surrounded by containers to stop people getting photos and as a way to keep the site secure from metal theifs e.t.c so not easy to see inside, only other photos I’ve seen are 373005/006 being shunted inside the site (will see if I can find them).

there is a footpath by the railway line which allows a small view (or by passing train) of the site.

It's interesting to know that Izy have hired 3217/3218. I wonder if they will just apply the Izy logo to the power cars and keep the old Eurostar livery. Or will Izy have the set rebranded into their livery?

I saw 3217/18 parked in Vorst depot the other day, glad to know it's got a future!
Me too, I'm glad that 3217/3218 has found further use for now as it was the first Class 373 set I travelled on as a passenger. Wonder when Izy will intrduce it into service once enough of their drivers are trained on operating a Class 373 set. :)

most likely to be Eurostar livery with Thalys logos/branding, would be surprised if Thalys rebranded the set into their full livery as its only on hire (not sure how long for?)

update on the situation with 374s/E320s and Ashford International. E320s currently not permitted to call at Ashford until September, possibly longer. apparently last weekend also saw another E320 on a test run into the station?.

3217 & 3218 are still with Eurostar, having seen it arrive at St Pancras earlier on train 9057.

3999 is also hitched up to a set, not sure what was at the other end but that was working 9149 today.

no date for the sets to transfer has been anoucned yet, not yet confirmed if they will be used on the low cost "izy" service or the regular Thalys ether.

May I ask what other forum you use to get this information from? You can reply in DM if you want to. But thanks anyway.

Had hoped it would be resolved before my trip from Ashford-Brussels in October but not looking hopeful. Any indication 9110 will resume its Ashford stop in the autumn?
