I thought taxi agreement wasn't in place for recent new starters ?

As far as I'm aware it is. Think there was ment to be a rule where as if you move house you lose it, but can't see that being implemented.

No part of the pay deal was that new starters are not entitled to the taxi agreement.

I think cut-off point was June last year. Anyone joining after then is committed to 12 Sundays (instead of 8) and is not included in the taxi agreement.

So is that trainees who started training before june 2017 or those who passed out before june 2017 ?

Yes I've just gone back and checked so no taxi for new starters. Although I'd have a bet that if they rung up and asked for one the drm wouldn't have a clue who is entitled to them or not.

Started as a Trainee Driver since that date.

I haven’t heard anything yet.
I think I have seen in a couple of other threads that people have been invited to do the online assessments already...trying to keep positive though!!
I haven't heard anything yet altho a colleague has received an email informing him he's been unsuccessful, so hopefully no news is good news

Fingers crossed.
I’ve passed an assessment centre with GTR previously so I hope I get another opportunity.

yep the drm is unlikely to check through your contract when deciding to book a taxi or not

There’s no guarantee‘s you’ll hear anything, I applied for the same role in Mar 2017, haven’t heard a thing since so don’t get your hopes up.

Apologies for my ignorance but what is dmi and Mimi?
No need to apologise. Nobody was born with the rail industry knowledge. I didn't know either but I have been browsing this forum regularly for the past three years, ish.

Anyway, MMI stands for Multi Modal Interview, DMI for Driver Manager Interview, in case you don't know yet.

I have received an email this morning inviting me to take an online assessment to be completed by Thursday. No idea what this involves but it appears you do it from your own pc at home using a link sent rather than attending anywhere
