Tickets to/from London that allow travel to/from both Lewes and Uckfield stations?

I am just wondering if anyone can advise if there is any ticket i can get that allows travel from both Lewes and Uckfield stations. What i am after is one of the Day Return tickets to London that includes a Day Travelcard but that will allow me to travel to and from both stations.

I live pretty much exactly halfway between Lewes and Uckfield and the bus frequency to both places is exactly the same. On my way to work i just use whichever bus is due first (Lewes or Uckfield) and on my way home i just take whatever train is due first (Lewes or Uckfield). I work at different times every day and often there is a lot of delays and cancellations so it is difficult to restrict myself to just having to travel from Lewes or just Uckfield.

I need a ticket where i can go from Lewes in the morning and return to Uckfield in the evening or where i can go from Uckfield in the morning and return to Lewes in the evening.

At the moment i am just buying two separate Single tickets (one for going to London and one for going Home) and a separate Travelcard every day. So i am buying three tickets a day instead of one ticket. It would be great if i could just buy a Day Return with a Day Travelcard included (just one ticket) every time i go to London that lets me use both stations.

Is such a ticket available? Does anyone know if there is anything i can buy which will allow me to use both routes from both stations? This would be great. Many thanks in advance for any help.

Only season tickets as far as I can recall.

Whether a season ticket is worthwhile depends on how much you pay now and how many days you work.

A weekly season from Lewes to London Terminals is £117.40.
A weekly Zone 1-6 Travelcard season from Lewes is £138.30.

These tickets are valid to travel to/from Uckfield.

Is it likely to cause problems if i do this or will most Guards and other staff be aware that season tickets can be used on both routes?

Also does a Lewes to Uckfield via Zones 1 to 6 Travelcard ticket exist? Is there such a ticket? If so would this be cheaper than an ordinary season ticket from Lewes or Uckfield including a London Zones 1 to 6 Travelcard?

It can, as a season ticket, if you want it to. If you wanted it as a weekly Travelcard (7TS), the price would be the Uckfield 7TS + Lewes 7TS - a London Terminals 7TS. So no, it wouldn't be cheaper.

They should all know, but if not, they need to look up information about "interavailable stations".

All Season Tickets and Travelcard Seasons to East Croydon and north thereof.

Are you travelling into London 4 or 5 times a week? If not, it may well be better value to use day tickets for some or all of the journey.

I don't know much about it, but the Key card Southern do is supposed to be able to work out the correct fare for a journey once you've completed it. It should at least save a bit of money if you end up going to and from the same station.

And, just to check, you are buying tickets to/from Croydon or somewhere (or even boundary zone 6), rather than London? If not, your travelcard already covers the journey within London, so you don't need any extra tickets which do it.

Local geographical knowledge will probably prevail even if the exact wording of the rules is not precisely remembered. There are no gatelines south of Oxted (except East Grinstead, which isn’t relevant) so you can at least board the train and explain yourself onboard.

In practice the official interavailable stations list is barely accessible on the Uckfield Line, firstly because it has almost zero phone signal between stations (particularly Uckfield - Ashurst), and secondly because it’s not easily accessible on Govia company phones (yet - I have a feeling this will change at some point).

The cynic in me suggests that the guards will just be happy that you’ve actually bothered to buy a ticket, anyway.

I was wondering - is there a good reason for the list of interavailable stations not to be on the TOC's website?

I understand that interavailability is documented on the rail industry's internal knowledge base (iKB) but isn't generally available to the general public.
