As you can imagine I see a lot of tickets, anyway, the other day I was checking tickets (the 29th) when I saw a ticket from Seaford to London terminals dated the 26th. The ticket had been sold on 26th and had the date of the 26th and the valid to 26th Nov. Normally SVR's have a start date and a valid to date a few days on. This one did not. Only by checking the return portion could I confirm ticket type and exp date 26th Dec. The punter was saying things, I asked for this, and told them I was travelling today. I told them, no problem, you can travel, just keep your return portion handy in case of questions. I just found it odd seeing an SVR with the two main dates being the same.
(note the train in question was a Seaford to Brighton train and we were 5 mins out of Seaford)
As an note: even after I told him it was fine and he could travel, i was still getting the , but this and that from the punter. Sheesh. Mind better than the punter who on being told I could not sell them a ticket but to buy one at Brighton and they knew, burst into tears. All for a £2.70 PLD-BTN single.
