It's not the first time that's happened. Given the terrible reliability of the Mousehole Solos they really need a permanent standby vehicle. The current situation is just killing the route.
At least one of the Mousehole Solos was back today, although it could only display the right half of the 'M' in M6.

A Uni-liveried MMC was subbed at Long Rock eastbound at lunchtime: it was 33441, I believe, and it did an impressive u-turn at the mini roundabout and crawled back to the depot. As there were both U4 and T1 MMCs in service at the stop together, I can't be certain which route 33441 had been on, though I expect it was the U4.

I think you got the wrong number for the MMC. The one you quoted is at Scotland East. The U4 batch are 33301/2 & 33471 - 33479.

Sorry, I'm not into numbers and, as I was driving behind it, I couldn't write it down, so made a mental note. I can definitely say it was the 334 batch, though, probably 71!

SN53 KKY is 67600 the E300 that spends more time VOR than in service. Didn`t know it had 260 ERY plates which were on B6 40583 before it was withdrawn.

Makes you wonder if former Truronian Dart 43811 will revert back to its original registration of WK52 WTV.

Thanks for that, it has spent so much time sitting in the yard at Taunton I hadn`t noticed.
Hi Ron,
Rumour has it that it will be Santa's grotto this year and will be towed into the town centre for the kiddies to visit Santa and chums aka BOS staff.

Is there more than one Atlantic Coaster liveried Trident in service now? I ask because I saw one leaving Pz for Truro on the T1 shortly before 14.00 and another arriving in Pz from Land's End on the A1 at 16.30, so I don't see how it could have been the same bus. Haven't seen two in service together since well before summer season ended.

There’s a lot more than one Atlantic coaster Trident.

That's a specific batch with A5 branding. I meant the plain Atlantic Coaster branded ones

Okay fair enough.
33233-35 are liveried up and we had 33233 on the A1 when the rain poured down last year. 33242 is also supposed to be done but not seen that one.

33242 was parked at Camborne for months in unbranded Atlantic Coaster colours with a defect sticker on the windscreen. It then disappeared before later reappearing in full Atlantic Coaster colours.

I still maintain that I'd not seen two Atlantic Coaster doubledeckers working out of Penzance on the same day for weeks before yesterday, and I see all the dds lined up oos at Pz bus station on several occasions throughout virtually every day. At one specific time of the day there are usually 4 to 6 dds there, most waiting to enter service, so if it was a regular occurrence I'd have been almost certain to have seen it.

Unusual hiatus on this thread!

I'll break it by saying there was another Mousehole Solo on the 16 this afternoon; at least, I assume it was, because it was at Pz Sainsbury's, displaying a NEARSIDE route number, the first figure of which was a 6, and the other which, once again, appeared to be cut off prematurely was, I think, 6 but could have been an 8. Whichever it was, it was wrong! There was no destination evident, but it did have a 'via Halsetown'. The latter appeared to me to be much smaller than usual, but I only had two or three seconds to take it all in before the bus passed me. What's going on?!

A Tinner E400MMC appeared tonight on the last U4 arrival of the day at Penzance.

Trident 33242 has a recently applied rear advert for the National Trust whilst Trident 33151 is in the naughty corner at Camborne with engine cowling removed.

It has a couple of Solos for company one of which is a Mousehole branded example.

With the Christmas Lights shortly to go on (Newlyn's happened tonight) I hope FK can get their act together on the M6.

Not often that Penzance bus station has 9 double deckers lined up for service (other than running days) but that was how it was at 16.30 today, with 4 Tinners, one Uni, 3 Barbie Tridents and one green Lolyne. Some of these (certainly two Tinners) were on the special 6B Mousehole lights, for the switch-on. A moment later, an Atlantic Coaster dd arrived on the U4 too!. The sole sd was a Mousehole Solo on the M6, which may or may not have actually made it all the way to Mousehole Harbour (I suspect not)

I expect we'll have the usual with drivers self-curtailing at the Coastguards earlier than the advertised time of 1700.

A relatively uncommon site was Trident 33164 on the eastbound A30 this afternoon at Redruth with passengers on board and displaying ‘Private Hire’.

Optare Metrodecker MD1 (YJ17 FXX) is at Camborne, looks like the one that was at Tremough recently although I did not see it so cannot confirm.
