Definitely not Sheffield. It’s a good 10 mins up hill from the station to the main shopping precinct.

Always a tram job for me, I do like visiting Hillsborough as the tram stop is literally on the doorstep of Wetherspoons!

Can't think of many better placed to a Wetherspoons than Grimsby Town :) .
But Hull Paragon is not far from one, has a bus station inside the shed, shopping centres not far to walk either, perfect location.

Liverpool Central is fairly central. Preston isn't bad, being at one end of the main Fishergate shopping street and directly opposite (via the side entrance) one of the shopping centres.

You couldn't get more central than Liverpool Central! You can exit the station onto Ranelagh Street or Bold Street and are right in the middle of the main shopping area and all of the pubs, bars and restaurants.

There's a Wetherspoons IN Liverpool Lime Street station, and its one of the better spoons too with an impressive interior. There's even a train departures screen in there so you can see if the Northern Rail service you are waiting for has been delayed or cancelled!

I don't recall Carnforth having much of a centre, it more seems to be one of those places strung along a main road (the A6 in this case).

Lancaster isn't bad, it's a very short walk down the hill.

Birmingham New St is pretty central.

Carnforth town centre is off the A6 down towards the station. I used to live there.

Certainly nearer to the centre than Lancaster.

I seem to remember Aberystwyth station has a Wetherspoon’s occupying much of the station building and former concourse - with part of the seating area being almost right behind the buffer stops. Can’t get much more convenient than that.

Nottingham Victoria is pretty good
But they have closed the station and built a shopping centre there instead

I think also Leeds, Wigan, St Helens C, Oxford Rd are all well sited for their town/city centres.

Oban. Buses leave from outside, the ferry to terminal is alongside, Wetherspoons is 50 m, about to be a Premier Inn next door.

Market Street is the main shopping street in Carnforth which the station leads directly to, with some added bits on New Street/A6.

Came up steps from the platforms at Walsall once and found myself in the middle of a shopping mall. There is another access point also.

I wonder if this should really be a station miles away from the place it's named after. That might be easier. I'll start with Chester, Wrexham General and Hitchin (cue people telling me there is already a million previouw discussions)
