Sorry I'm coming to this late but what unit is supposed to work the EDB-Dunblanes I'm doing the 11.21 in a few weeks, are they booked EMU's?
Mostly 365 but still the occasional 156/158/170.

In Geoff & Vicki's latest video from the Italian Hitachi factory, at 8mins13 there's a glimpse of carriage number 442101 that according to the Abrail website is part of 385101.

I have have sneaky suspicion the HS2 trains will be nothing like "special" at all and probably just the same as the Class 800s!

Also 385046 is arriving at Ashford. Reports of lorry transporting it being in collision with a car, and then the car driver attacking the lorry with a baseball bat!!!
Ehmmm what? Well I suppose ''Train on lorry crashes into baseball bat-wielding driver's car'' could make an interesting headline.

Millerhill was initially also going to be a ScotRail traincrew depot for the new 385s, but costs and staffing issues ended that idea back in 2016.

I take it the proposed Polmaise EMUD south of Stirling is well & truly dead as well? What’s the proposed replacement? Light servicing in Stirling station with any DMUs going to Perth as at present?

Surely there must be a train crew depot wherever units are stabled overnight?

Local NIMBY's killed Polmaise which is why I'd expect the wires to reach Perth sooner rather than later to avoid the need to return to Edinburgh/Glasgow at night but yes, at the moment multiple units stabled overnight in Stirling.

Looks like there may have been another breakdown at Croy. All trains from Queen Street are cancelled past Lenzie

Do you know why they've gone to Ashford? The Hitachi depot there I would of thought?

As both Govia and Abellio have partnered with Hitachi should they retain/win the Southeastern franchise, I'm wondering if it's for management and/or stakeholder review.
(Either that or they're fitting shoes to them, one of them is part '442' after all! ;) :) )

Yes, has been for some time now. There were a couple of 170 substitutions a few months ago when there were brake issues on the 385s, but it was 365s/380s/385s in the summer, and since the timetable change it's been all-385.

All 385s now . Cant even remember last time i was on 170 on the route , just before the 365s came in i think

Come back and say you want a 20 minute frequency between Glasgow Central and Neilston.

EDIT: Just to say that it's not the improvement you think it is - the 30 minute evening frequency is just changed to be XX:15 and XX:45 from each termini. Half hourly from 19:45 each night.

You can EK line with 20 min frequency too.

Ive been caught too with no 1945 , should be every 15 mins later to 9 or 10 at least

I see that all 35 delivered so far are now in service. I'd expect deliveries to restart from Newton Aycliffe next week and there are two Japanese built 3 carriage sets to come from Ashford.

have seen a few since December but largely 365's. Travelling that way Monday and Tuesday so will report back, think some of the morning peaks are still 156 though that might be from Alloa rather than Dunblane?

Glasgow to Alloa sees 156s or did.
Are any 385s on Dunblane runs?
