Morning All
I have a question. After the recent severe delays on HS1 since the introduction of the new timetable, and the complete lack of trains at all on Monday, I enquired as to whether Monday would count as a "void" day, and also having just renewed my season ticket, whether the disruption earlier in the year would be counted as a void day and what refund I was due. (Please bear in mind I have commuted all my life bar the last 3 via SWT and assumed this system operated across all TOCs).
I was told that as a season ticket included several weeks worth of free travel , SER do not have void days, and any discount would be applied on renewal based on performance. I asked what the performance targets were for HS1, only to be told "don't know - read the posters when they go up in 4 weeks time". I asked how the trains that didn't run at all on Monday would count towards these targets, only to get the same response.
Colleagues who come in on other services automatically get refunds irresepective of ticket type - how come SER is different in respect to void days and refunds?
