166221 is still all blue - not sure if this had already been posted. I just spotted it at Basingstoke. Sorry for the terrible photo, captured it while moving on another train.

(Hello, by the way. Trying to become a tad more active and post!)

802011 now carries two names.
On vehicle 1, "Capt. Robert Falcon Scott RN CVO" (subtitle "Scott of the Antarctic" with an outline of the continent).
On vehicle 5, "Sir Joshua Reynolds PRA" (subtitle "Celebrating 250 years of the Royal Academy of Arts" with building image behind name). The image make some of the name very difficult to read.
Usually the two names have a related theme. Does anyone know what R F Scott and J Reynolds had in common (I don't!)?

Both appear to be from Plymouth - although technically Reynolds is from Plympton (a suburb of Plymouth).
Worth noting as well that the GWR website doesn't yet show 802011 as being one of their "named Intercity Express Trains". https://www.gwr.com/about-us/modernising-gwr/iet/named-trains

With all due respects - GWR are at least naming their trains with some historic and national importance. I think the cab disk things are a stupid idea. You can never really beat a full size cast name plate..

IET unit numbers are supposed to go either side of the driving vehicles under the large GWR logo. For some reason at least one 'corner' of 800007 is unnumbered (standard class vehicle, left side as seen by the driver; seen 22 Jan).

Do we know how many turbos are currently allocated to Bristol and how many will be eventually allocated?

Is 158958 back out after it’s refurb yet?
Think I saw it at Barton Hill yesterday so probably won’t be long. Only 158955, 158960 and possibly 158763 left to do now if my calculations are correct. Hopefully 955 first as that unit looks really haggered.

The order doesn't depend on the cosmetic condition as we saw with two 150/2s

I would have to agree as 955 does look a bit run down but knowing GWR it will be the last one to be done

Indeed.

Off the record but I used 158960 at the weekend and was surprised that the condition inside (and paint work externally) was all in fairly good condition. Interesting how it varies.
