Has this closed? Trying to find the position, all I've seen is the work experience role

I've not heard anything either, not been rejected yet though, this is basically the last TOC I'm not banned from for 6 months lol. Fingers and toes crossed!

Also not heard but as already said it's just a case of wait and see, I learnt that last time it was a few weeks at least..

Seen some people be rejected throughout the last couple of weeks for already applying elsewhere or failed within the last 6 month's. If you dont fall into that criteria and haven't heard nothing yet it's a good look!

Just received this email:

Dear Candidate

Thank you for submitting an application to GTR/2271 Trainee Train Driver. We have received over 3600 applications for this role and due to our recruitment requirements for this year, it will not be possible to process all of the applications. Therefore, your application will be placed on hold until the first batch of candidates have been assessed and passed through the process. I expect the first phase of recruitment to take around six months. We will keep you updated with the progress of your application over the coming months. I’d like to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Kind regards GTR Recruitment Team

I have just received the same email. I don’t really know what to make of it.

Received the same email today. At least it isn't a rejection. I expect the timescale will be very fluid, depending on how many of the first batch are successful through the process.

Would be interesting to know how large each batch is going to be.

And how they selected a first batch. I wonder if it was ‘first come, first served’.

Yea first come first served. I submitted mine early hours of the 6th. Set an alarm for 6 months time and forget about this for now I reckon..

I could have got mine in so much earlier if I’d known they’d would only look at a few of them!

Well if that is the case I should hear something soon, as I submitted mine on the 5th of Feb.

I don't think it was on a first come first served basis. I submitted mine the day before closing date on 5th Feb, and I have had an email today highlighting I was successful and to say in next few weeks I will move to complete online tests. A friend of mine had the other email which I interpreted as he had completed the assessment centre and was successful previously that he would move onto the relevant phase (DMI and MMI) once first batch get to that phase....may be wrong of course

Hey guys and girls i received an email today stating that i have progressed to the next stage and will be doing some online tests in a few weeks time for the trainee train driver role. Does anyone know what the online tests with GTR are likely to involve?

Many thanks for your help.
