Recently, a neighbour of mine was burgled and during the raid a number of model railway trains were taken from his property.

The list includes (all OO gauge):

1 x boxed Hornby Intercity Express
1 x Bachmann BR Class 170 Turbostar in Central Trains livery
1 x Class 153 in Regional Railways livery
1 x Hornby Mallard Pullman set in blue livery

My neighbour is badly shaken (understandably) through the ordeal, and we believe that the person/s responsible live locally or have knowledge of the area.

Therefore, if anybody in the Pontyclun area or further afield in Cardiff/The Valleys etc. gets offered one of the above for a 'good deal' can you please DM me and I'll let you know if it's one of the missing items.

Cheers!

I would advise to keep an eye out on ebay. A lot of stolen goods end up there. There are probably some other online sites where stolen goods get sold as well.

There isn't a huge amount you can do really, I'd just claim it on the contents insurance, and learn from the experience (make sure to keep the house more secure in future)

There are a few big buy and sell groups on Facebook, worth keeping an eye out on there.

I've seen stuff stolen in similar situations turn up on various sale groups and get recovered
