Bodmin sidings cannot be accessed from the down direction. Anything collected has to be towed or worked on the up line to Liskeard and cross to the down line to return westbound.

I can’t make the open day, no doubt it will sell out tickets for tour. I would have love to done the tour.
Buy a ticket for the open day and you'll get a link emailed for the tour. You don't actually have to go to the open day.

Thank you for using your first message ever since joining in 2009 to ask, however I just gave it away.

Ok thank you, we are down there on holiday for the week, never realised that I had not used the account, always read the forums but obviously never have posted

And the last one for tonight!

Our friends at GB Railfreight will be running their convoy from Eastleigh on Friday morning departing at 0810 running as 0Z50 the convoy will travel via Westbury and pause at Bristol Temple Meads from 0959 until 1020. The convoy will then carry on South and again pause at Exeter St Davids from 1137 until 1218. The convoy will then head deeper in Devon stopping at Plymouth from 1319 until 1344. Last but not least the convoy will cross over in Cornwall and run through to Penzance arriving at 1525!

However the only way to get up close and personal with all the exhibits will be at the open day itself! Still tickets left!! Share and share far and wide!

They've just announced details on the HST rail tour on June 1st. Looking pretty unrealistic for me unfortunately :(

Standard Class - Whole trip all inclusive:
Adult - £148 / Child - £74

1st Class - Whole trip all inclusive (with weekend 1st class offering and goodie bag)
Adult - £253 / Child - £126.50

The timings seem to be up on RTT, and it's going to be a very long day, with no way to get back from Plymouth until the day after. Starts at 5:30am in Bristol, then ends at 10pm in Plymouth.

Wow that's pretty pricey!
Kinda glad I can't make it, I'm doing something better instead!

I can't ride on it either. Riding a couple of the last HST services in passenger service will have to do! I will try my hardest to try and get to a station to see it though.

Personally I think it's okay in terms of value. Remember it is 16 hours and about 800 miles of travel, plus it's for charity. Not for everybody, obviously, but I think the price is fair.

I'm still undecided unfortunately, it's a crazy long day and I'd have to skip the last leg to Plymouth, which makes the value proposition a bit less interesting. I might have to make do with catching the final HST too.

That said, come tomorrow morning I'll probably have a ticket anyway :D

It's well out of my budget anyway, I've just come back from a mini holiday, and that was the same price as that 1st class fare!
The standard fare will almost buy you a global interrail pass for 5 days!!
I know which I'd rather do...
