Nope looks like an IET, a HST set would have knowhere to stable on arrival at Paddington
Ah, yes, following it through from Paddington it looks like it goes back to North Pole. That's a shame, I got my hopes up when all of the platforms matched.

No but it seems that some of their stuff that's been there for 20 years is just rotting away. Obviously I can't tell what Angel are doing or if planning anything. What's your source for that? Because it rather sounds like something made up.
I hope so. Apparently they have done a gauging trial there and back.Luckily there will be a 2+4 to Newquay on summer Saturdays this year so thankfully Newquay hasn’t seen the last of HSTs yet!

For a start, Porterbrook haven't leased power cars to (F)GW(R) for the last 20 years - first to go were 10 in 2004.No but it seems that some of their stuff that's been there for 20 years is just rotting away. Obviously I can't tell what Angel are doing or if planning anything.
9.25 from Torquay to Paddington via Bristol (9.18 from Paignton?) is an HST this morning. Seat reservations mixed up as presumably was booked for an IET.
I think you will find it is booked for an HST, as per "Frequently Requested Diagrams" thread.
IW5 - so a Cheltenham run later too!I think you will find it is booked for an HST, as per "Frequently Requested Diagrams" thread.
Hadn't noticed that. Thanks. Seat reservations still wrong though.
That's an every day occurrence while the two fleets are in use
Does anyone have the SX diagrams for next week please? Thanks
Sorry I meant the actual planned workings as there’s 5 diagrams out at the moment instead of the 4 it was intended to reduce to on April 5th.Unless changed on the day, these are the diagrams you need:

Hi Private Baxter - just in case this helps re dining on an HST during the final weeks. Keen to do the same I selected a train from the diagrams listed on this thread with an HST listed (so not many to choose from!) and booked a reasonably priced 1st Advance ticket to gaurantee at least being in 1st. The GW website says you can pre book dining ahead of travel (via GW customer services, note the phone options on the Pullman web page are slightly out of date now). I rang, helpful person took my train time, date, e-mail and phone number, explained that it needed a manager to pre book a seat in the restaurant car, and I would get e-mailed back with a confirmation or rung back if a problem meeting my request.
Just had the e-mail saying:
We are delighted to confirm your Pullman Dining reservation.
Now you can look forward to a fantastic Lunch and dinner menu on board our luxury silver service restaurant.
Thank you again for choosing to dine with us and we hope you enjoy this unique experience.
Best wishes,
Your Pullman Dining Team
It does not detail a seat so presume they just no numbers. I guess had I not had a 1st class ticket they might not have accepted my request since it's 'if space available' for Std Class.
Fingers crossed the diagrams don't change!

They just take your name and tick you off the list upon boarding the restaurant car. (No specific seat allocated).
Thanks, that is helpful to know. I assume that having contacted them in advance I am thus more "gauranteed" a restaurant place than say a 1st class passenger who just rocks up on the day and wants to dine, but has not pre booked. Mind you, the menu prices indicate the meal will cost c£40 for say 2 courses, so many might not deem that worth the money, tho I've paid more in some restuarants for lower quality, and a lot less comfort than a Mk3 carriage, and no view at all! They just take your name and tick you off the list upon boarding the restaurant car. (No specific seat allocated).
Indeed, There are other factors at play here and the Porterbrook Ones will be finding new uses / homes soon. What is stored where is down to the leasers - Angel chose Ely, while PB Chose LM. The Hull Sets being Angel are simply nothing to do with PB not giving a monkeys and deciding to leave their PCs to rot, it's down to which PC or Mk3 is leased until it's end date - and the Angel ones simply have a longer lease (allowing HT to make use of 2 sets for longer, whereas the PB sets were due to be finished with GW by March). PB like all the ROSCOs do have plans for their sets, most of which we will see soon.
So no, it's not PB not giving a monkeys, or leaving their stuff to rot in there for 20 years, it simply is market value and lease dates. Angel have been the luckier of the two GW fleets anyway, after signing ScotRail to take the majority of them.
Anyway, back to the diagrams. Do the short sets work Sundays? I can roughly work out the times for them.
(And this wasn't me disagreeing with you @43096 at all, it's me agreeing fully)
Hoping for HST on the 1415 Paddington to Cheltenham next month
So, if you are right, the working on 4 May would need to be:
5A75 03+15 Laira T.& R.S.M.D. to Plymouth 0337
1A75 0540 Plymouth to London Paddington 0936
1W02 1022 London Paddington to Hereford 1340
5W02 13+45 Hereford to Hereford 1401
5P65 14+58 Hereford to Hereford 1511
1P65 1513 Hereford to London Paddington 1829
1C96 2000 London Paddington to Plymouth 2345 (or maybe on 1C95 at 1848)
5C96 23+57 Plymouth to Laira T.& R.S.M.D. 0135
with the other two doing Plymouth-Paddington-Penzance and Penzance-Paddington-Plymouth. An eight hour round trip to Hereford is possibly the easiest place to send the High Speed Train given the changes to timetables.
On a normal Saturday, it is 1A76 0657 PLY-PAD 1010, 1C79 1103 PAD-PLY 1431, 1A89 1501 PLY-PAD 1821, 1C95 1903 PAD-PLY 2238 but 1Z76 arrives at Paddington at 1042, 1C79 leaves at 1048, 1Z89 arrives at Paddington at 1843, 1C95 leaves at 1848.
I guess we will wait and see.
Are the STP diagrams out yet for the 4th of May to confirm (or deny) this run?
