The passenger numbers will appear higher than they actually are, but some people must make this journey.

I don't think there is - nor should there be - any need for a minimum number of passengers to benefit from an easement though.

I don't think a Routeing Guide easement has been added to ease travel from Hatton to Lapworth. At least, not recently. If one has been, it would probably be worth saying which it is.

the stations between Warwick and Dorridge are close to the canal. There are some nice walks along the towpath. People will seek to park, get the train and walk back to their car. I used to enjoy the walk from near Warwick parkway to hatton top lock. Time to gawp and 168's and the MK3 sets, as well as the wildlife. Saw an adder swimming in the cut once!

The linked post doesn't refer to any easements. Post #979 in the same thread refers to five of them. If you could name the easement you're asking about, it would really help.

It's post 980 I'm referring to.
You misunderstood.

You appear to be arguing that there aren't many people who make a journey from Hatton to Lapworth, therefore it's not worth having an easement to make travel easier between the two; you also assert that such an easement does exist and you appear to be suggesting that it should not exist.

But these are incorrect assertions because the text you refer to is a suggestion for an easement to be introduced which would benefit anyone whose journey is to (or from) Lapworth, using Hatton as their Destination (or Origin) Routeing Point.

So, in summary, I disagree with your post for three reasons:
  1. There is no easement as you claim;
  2. There is no suggestion the easement would only affect people travelling between those two stations exclusively;
  3. Easements shouldn't be refused because they only affect a small number of people anyway.
