Depends which Pacers you're using to get the seating capacity. The bus-seated and Merseytravel 142s have a higher stated capacity than the ones with "car seats" or the 144s, due to being 3+2. 144012 being the lowest capacity, roughly similar to a 153.

In this instance, I was using bench seated 142s as an example. :)

I was passed by a 195/1 (or 331/0?) that was heading east between Edge Hill and Wavertree Tech Park, at about 1825 today. I can't find a corresponding service on RTT, though...

They'll probably get phased in after the driver training and familiarization, seen a couple go up and down the WCML today, got to love railcam UK.
Even then, I doubt these and the 331s will be ready by the May timetable change. I can see them entering service in mid June the earliest

To stop clag you need a DPF, SCR is used to reduce NOx emissions only.

Sorry, Day job is emissions of slightly smaller things...

DPF you was right, SCR is Selective Catalytic Reduction. The Nox is held onto by the surface of the brick in the cat, when it’s full urea (adblue( is added to the exhaust gasses up stream of the cat, it reacts with the nox via the coatings on the cat and turns it into less harmful compounds.

They meet EUIIIB emissions levels and the press release states they have SCR but no mention of a DPF.

I have not looked into the limits for heavy duty engines as all the stuff I check is light duty so has different limits for different emissions. (in cars etc a DPF isn’t mandatory, but it is basically impossible to meet the particle limits without one, even direct injection petrols are now starting to GPFs - Gasoline Particle Filters)... but we are venturing way off topic now
