But the enviro city is not a new bus has been about for a few years has it not. am sure you could google it and find out its been about 4 years plus. And all i asked at the start was when you buy 10 buses and 2 are unfit after 2 month someone has to be at fault.

So what if someone is at fault?! Who cares?! You're acting like the buses are death traps because they've went away for a bit of warranty work and that someone MUST be thrown in jail for 100 years. Why don't you just accept the fact that sometimes things break regardless of age and lets get back on topic because this is getting very tiring.

Time for an admin to step in and put this to bed I think....

I wouldn't say ADL are the cheapest. I mean look at the spec of the E400MMC Border Buses have taken delivery of recently and compare that to First.

First have got them on a budget and it shows...

You also have to keep in mind Borders have only bought 3 of these, vs Glasgow with 100+ in one order. It's simply not economically viable to be buying hundreds of top spec vehicles without subsidy. That's not to forget Glasgow are using them on city work where as Borders are using them on a longer distance service in competition with the railway. So to that extent it's an unfair comparison.

OK try living by the facts then m8 its only a opinion u have yours i have mine.

You could take from your own advice, all new buses have teething problems. All new buses typically have to get minor warranty work around the 2-3 month mark. It's normal and nothing to do with poor build quality. I don't get how that's so difficult for you to understand.

does vandilism not happen in 2019 .

You were making a comparison of 1999 vs 2019, yes while vandalism still exists it's nowhere near as big of an issue these days.

Don't waste your time, he's clearly one of these people who just can't accept that he might be wrong.

How many runs do caley get on the 18 ?I seen two branded e400mmcs for 38 on it .
Earlier this week I travelled on the 1731 departure from Holland Street and it was a "38" branded E400, the running number was 23. I noticed on the Bus Times website there was an earlier depature from Holland Street also worked by a similar vehicle.

Incidentally, on the 21 route, Monday to Friday, the 0615 from Gardenhall to Cochrane Street is covered by a vehicle which subsequently works on the 38, the running number is 13.

These type of workings are interesting – First seem very efficient in how they use vehicles & drivers. Am I right in thinking that a few Cally 2’s run dead run Baillieston to Sandyhills in the early evening to go on to the 61 – presumably putting a single decker on instead of a Gemini saves a few pennies? Keep seeing E200mmcs heading down Killin St from Shettleston Rd when I’m out running.

vandalism same as all areas of glasgow on buses i rember 20 year ago in glasgow some deckers last three sets of seats upstairs where plastic because of vandalism.

I have to agree here and 100% all areas around Glasgow have their rough parts I get that BUT being someone who lives in the surrounding area, Easterhouse was renown for buses being vandalised; windows being out through, windows being etched, seats being burnt at the back. The 60 travels through some rougher schemes (albeit that’s not every single person) but Easterhouse in itself, Barlanark, Shettleston, Parkhead then through into Maryhill. Not to say that didn’t happen on other routes but if I remember correctly the B7Ls were badly vandalised, the L94s and L113s at a time too. I think that’s perhaps why the 60 may have received more single stock as perhaps they knew it would be ruined out of sight of the driver on the upper deck floors. Also why perhaps the 53 plates were introduced on the 60 and look at the mess they are in. It may not be as bad now but it still goes on and I think First are aware of it.

I mind Scotstoun had a few runs on these services after they routes were chopped in the city centre.
