Is anyone else on here awaiting a MMI result for Northern?

I had my assessment centre on the 16th of April in Manchester for a position based at Manchester Piccadilly.

The email from HR confirming the assessment centre states to allow leaving atleast 5 working days and that they will be in touch as soon as they receive the results from the OPC. I appreciate in the mean time there has been a bank holiday weekend and HR staff may have had additional leave off too. The two assessors from the OPC on the day said they will send the MMI result to HR the following morning.

I’m just wondering if there’s anyone else out there in the same anxious postion awaiting a phonecall or email; or if there has been others who have been in a similar position having to wait some time for the pass or fail?

Cheers Dec

I'd personally give them a call/ email them. Railway recruitment is notoriously slow, no harm in giving them a nudge to see how you've got on.

On a side note, no news is generally good news! :)

I'll second no news is good news. It was five weeks before I got an email telling me I'd passed and inviting me to medical!

5 weeks! I think I’ll be prescribed anxiety tablets by then haha.

Right I think I need to persevere and be patient with HR. I hope no news is good news like everyone keeps saying. Cheers for the reply!

I can feel your pain! That’s horrendous.

Surely an email to say Yes you have passed and be please be patient or sorry you have failed is required. The wait is draining.

I hope you pass after that wait

Still no news..

I've emailed the recruitment consultant this week to no reply.
It's absolutely draining awaiting this MMI result; considering how much it means and how much effort & hard work I've put in to this process.

Is there anyone else bar me & HayV46 in the same boat waiting to hear back?

Hi chaps ....
New to the game..
Last year I applied for frieghtliner passed national level but not the enhanced level. Apparently my speed and accuracy was good but I crossed a five instead of a 4 which I corrected at the safe time it went against me according to the OPC.
Recently applied for WMT went straight to stage 2 passed the 3 computer tests.
Completed the mmi and SJE only today to be told I was unsuccessful.
I'm disappointed and now have to wait for 4 weeks for feedback which is harsh because I want to know where I went wrong

Hi, so you passed both the paper and computer based assessments for Freightliner, just not to enhanced standard?

If so, just apply to a TOC that requires standard scores and let them know you have already passed the assessments.

I think the lead recruiter who contacts everyone is on holiday until the end of the month, so you may have to wait longer unfortunately.

Does that count as two fails or one fail? Did you get feedback?

They don’t explain it properly WMT/OPC I’m under the impression it’s 1 fail because WMT at stage one don’t do the enhanced level. Honestly I’m not sure because they OPC get guidance from the tocs.

No feed back as of yet have to wait 4 weeks

Anyone got any top tips for the Psychometric/MMI test day. Got my date late next week. Can anyone say in what order the tests were in etc?

We had the written section first which you then sat and wait and if you passed you get to do the computer based tests, wait again and if you passed that then you have the mmi. Good luck .... advice would just be to practice using the stuff they provide.
