As a counterpoint to a lot of the grumpiness around, here's a thread for all the nice things. Doesn't have to be something big.

So, for starters here's mine for today.

I decided I'd like to get back into playing modern board games, and I remembered a game I'd had as a teenager called Chainsaw Warrior. Found a copy on eBay, and won it for under £20!

Not many takers EM2 eh? ;)
I had a difficult day today with work, and couldn’t find much to feel happy about.
The thing that made me chuckle the most tonight though was Mrs C informing me as we were leaving the pub this evening that she really needed to get some new glasses tomorrow as she was struggling to see properly, just as she tripped over a chair...

My dad offering to lend me the money to go to Madrid to watch the UEFA Champions League final against Spurs, if I got a ticket in the LFC Ticket ballot.

(I refused as the cost was silly for one game of football).

Writing "F*** OFF" on the election leaflet I got from the Brexit Party.
As a related one, watching as the wind blew an umbrella belonging to a Brexit Party leafleter straight into the Clyde, just as the heavens opened

Bought a new watch today. Other than the watch making me smile. The assistant asked if I wanted a drink whilst I was waiting. Got a Peroni !

A very odd one from me yesterday evening that is either a large coincidence or a weird mind trick (I tend to suspect the latter ;)). I walked into Morrisons with my headphones on and playing a song but removed my headphones as I entered, mid way through the song. I then found that exactly the same song was playing over the speakers in Morrisons

Oh yeah, and a mate sent me 36 photos of me being his best man last August. Despite the kilt and thinking I need to loose weight it definitely made me smile. A great day.

Anyone that wears jeans with holes in the knees amuses me. What's that all about?
This made me smile!

To be fair these are only on because I’ve been painting things, and these are genuine holes from excessive work ;). Not the ones that people seem to buy brand new that are ‘ready distressed’.
What’s next? A pair of brand new jeans that have been stored in a skip and then run over by a tractor?

If you want to feel better and also do something constructive, do what I do. Pop the leaflet in an envelope addressed to the party office (on the leaflet) and put it in the post without a stamp. If enough people do it, the charges to the recipient for the unpaid postage will hopefully bankrupt the barstools...

I too enjoy the view from Montrose station... but not so much on a wet January afternoon with the wind whipping off the Basin ;)

What made me smile today was watching the annual ritual of a great tit pecking fluff off the dog's tennis balls for its nest.

In my case it's about not being able to afford new jeans!

Did an escape room today with a few friends. We'd been told on the way in that the success rate was only 40%; we smashed it with 7mins to spare. Dead chuffed, we were.

Good work. I’d quite like to one of those this year. It’s good to tax the brain...

What made me smile today was having our first fire of the year in the garden and watching the flames dance while slowly drinking a beer under the light of the moon.

It would make me very happy to go an entire day without hearing or reading that particular expression... ;) <D

I of course would never even consider killing anyone. Ha ha. I was being dramatic after the football. What made me smile today was just wind. Ha ha.
You been on the curried baked beans again..?
