156453 (my final Scotrail Class 156 to clear the fleet. Even better as I was not intentionally looking out for nor expecting to see it)

The only one I haven't got a photo of (don't think I've seen it either) too. Is it still in Barbie or has it been 'done' ?

Mills444, I know for fact both me and Kite159 have had 59s for more than 10 miles. There's no doubt quite a few of us on here who have, but I can't remember who exactly. Keith Jarrett had some 59 haulage earlier this year I seem to recall, and I suspect 55013's had some 59 haulage more than once over the years too.

59003, however, that's a bit different. Not so many of us will have had haulage on that one, I certainly haven't. I don't keep track of non-passenger locos these days, the interest in doing so just isn't there for me now.

All of the Scotrail fleet of 156s is cleared (and Anglia which was a while ago).

I only require 1 East Midlands and 6 Northern.

That's interesting I did not think 59s were regular on railtours or at galas.

Ah okay don't have that many to go then I except an trip to Liverpool or Manchester in the near future then.

That's interesting I did not think 59s were regular on railtours or at galas.

They're not super regular from what I can tell, I don't tend to follow the railtour scene these days. They're far too expensive for me to do, the fare alone is just ridiculous. Add in travel to/from the tour itself and accommodation where required, and the average tour costs me an average of £200. Add in food and drink as well, plus anything else that needs money, and the average tour gets more expensive than an explore of Europe.

There's also the fact I don't bother with covering track these days, I lost that part of my interest in the scene last year and it's not come back, despite trying to get it to happen. Same happened with getting stuff for sight and visiting stations, it's just not all that exciting these days. I have been making more of an effort with a few things for sight, but only if it's convenient. This includes my last S7 half-sets on LU, the rest of it is too much work. I have been making a minor effort to find my last 707s for sight, and if I see a 700 I make a bit of an effort to reference the number to my needs list. That's only usually if I'm bored waiting for a train though!

Anyway! Back to 59s, I don't think they produce at galas too often, but I could easily be wrong. I would imagine most of us who've had 59s have had them on railtours to places like Merehead Quarry, that's how I got a couple of them in the book. Don't ask me which ones, I can't remember for sure!

Nice to finally get a few of the recent cascades to Northern in the bag plus a few native units that were still outstanding, well overdue.

21 May:

68011 Dorridge - Stourbridge Junction 1K54

I also had unrequited Cats 15 and 8 on the two earlier turns. All good fun.

I then indulged in the toy train to Stourbridge Town and back before returning to Brum.
