Yeah few more details would be useful lol, I'd put your application in whatever though;)

Indeed I have. I emailed them as I wasn't even sure I could apply as I am just within 6 months of being rejected from the driver talent pool, I also asked about the salary. They said they will find out and he get back to me.

I applied for Trainee Driver at Exeter St Davids in December 2018. I applied for this role and have had an email asking me to complete an online assessment. When did you apply for Trainee Driver?

I applied and got rejected for the Trainee Driver role in December, mainly because I made a complete dogs dinner of my application form, I ended up sending a conductors application

Hi all, I have been redirected to this post.

I have been lucky enough to have been invited to an assessment day for the above post. but other than the practice information they send to you I'm unsure what to expect from the day. Has anyone experienced this previously?
Is it just assessments or will there be an interview also?

I’m certainly not an expert but do have experience of GWR assessment days. I will also be there on Tuesday and going by the information given so far I won’t be expecting to be interviewed on the day. The two tests will just be done in a classroom style environment one after the other with a short break in between.

I still haven't heard either way o_O Out of interest, what are the two assessments?

That’s odd? Anyway the two tests are the SCAAT (hoping I won’t have to do this having already passed last year) and a new one on me called the TRFS, Trainability For Safety test.

The SCAAT should be transferable I believe? I don’t think it’s as long as driver psychometric tests usually, but maybe a year or so? I’m no expert, but I’m sure I’ve read that. Is the SCAAT just a Group Bourden basically?

ah ok, thanks for the further info.

Yeah I have received the practice tests for SCAAT and TRFS, I believe the tests are kept on file for 6 months.

Odd, more like distracting, I am surprised I didn't get an email from the IT department at work suggesting I stop refreshing my personal email account every 2 minutes . Interestingly thought, the SCAAT and TRFS are the same test for the conductor role, which I have passed recently, I wonder.....

I did the SCAAT as part of the conductor assessment and I’m sure they said valid for 3 years would be nice not to have to do it! I believe the SCAAT and Bourdon are similar it’s a concentration test with various shapes, work your way along lines without errors etc etc

I didn’t do the TRFS as part of my conductor assessment although it was 18 months ago so maybe they’ve changed their tests. Wouldn’t hurt to contact HR because the advert clearly stated assessments on the 18th so you would have thought you would have heard one way or the other by now.
