Thanks for that  It might be worth keeping an eye out to see if GWR sell any unused ones on their online shop. I know they're selling off spare ones which were printed for the Slough/Windsor Royal wedding specials last year.
Oh yes; I forgot about that. I'll definitely have a look there. Thanks!

Couple on ebay now
I'm sure that GWR won't miss a trick by offering these for sale on their website soon. Knowing the printing business quite well and the economies of scale with these things, they probably did a print run of at least 250 labels. I wouldn't pay inflated ebay prices just yet...

Also watch for hidden postage costs. There are some on there at the moment fit £1.50 but with a £5 postage charge. I appreciate they may want to pack it to ensure it doesn’t get creased or damaged in the post but even putting it in a small box would only cost £3

Yes. Postage can be very expensive and that's one of the annoying things about buying online!

Personally think they are rather uninspiring

Considering the event I'd have thought GWR would have pushed the boat out a little

Definitely not worth £25 but they're attracting bids !!!!!!!!!

Well, I added a couple of the last day labels to my ebay watch list and one of the green labels went for £47.50 and the white variation which looked a bit crumpled was £33, the prices excluding postage and packing charges.
Whilst I'd quite like to have one of these labels as a souvenir, I personally don't think they're worth it for that money. As the previous poster said, the design isn't actually that interesting...
I still think they may appear for sale via GWR on their online shop.

Yes. I am certainly not paying over £5 for one in a poor condition and not over £10 for one in a perfect condition from GWR.

@Peter C

Apparently some will be available on the "Flying Banana" tour, if you aren't on that keep your eyes on the GWR shop (coming soon allegedly)!

Excellent. Thank you very much. I won't be on the railtour so the GWR shop will have to do! I highly doubt that the guard could sell me a ticket at the carriage door window at a station stop... :)

I've just been looking on eBay and someone is selling one of the window labels from the HST Farewell Railtour for £90!
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Last-HST...319270?hash=item2f31e16a26:g:clcAAOSwQP5c8n1P
There were two of them that were used; one which showed the name and a nice diagram of the HSTs through time, and another with the station stops.
I must buy one one day!

-Peter

It's a nice label but not £90 worth in my opinion.

I'd like the Exeter St. Davids one from the last service too. I've e-mailed GWR to see if they're planning on selling any of these labels. I'll report back if they respond to me...

Incidentally this poster from the last working has appeared on the GWR souvenirs website: https://www.gwrsouvenirs.co.uk/index.php/shop/hst-station-poster.html so perhaps some carriage labels may appear too?

OK. I'm not too interested in the last service Exeter St. Davids one myself, but you do you! I'm not here to tell people how to live their lives. :)
It would be lovely if GWR could sell some of the window labels from the last service and maybe the railtour for less than they think they can sell the box of normal labels for - £270! No!
That poster looks good, but seen as I was not there to see the last ever one at Paddington (I was too busy riding the last Cotswold HST) and I'm not planning on building a 1:1 scale model of Paddington to recreate the event, I won't be buying it. But thanks for posting it anyway. It does look like carriage labels are on the horizon!

P.S: I've bought my first ever window label - a GWR PAD - GMV one off eBay, £2. Looks good and as this is a journey I have done by HST it will be a nice reminder even though I didn't travel on the exact service the label is from :)

That was kind of my response too o_O
I know. It is just far too much for what are, at the end of the day, some pieces of paper. People thinking that they can make money off of people by selling these labels for £££s have another thing coming when they don't sell!

UPDATE:
www.gwrsouvenirs.co.uk have only got 17 boxes of window labels left! The image still advertises 30 though. This means that they have sold 13 and have made around £3510 from window labels.

I was on the bananer. I was also on the 18:30 ex Padd See left!
I have two bananer stickers (unstuck) I will swap one for the one in me pic thingy!

I did have both last day stickers, I lost the pair of them on the train.

There was a geezer selling a set of all the GWR named trains. I was too tight to pay his asking price, I only wanted the lost two.

Sorry - what would you swap one for?

I've just bought two more window labels; one for Hereford and one for Worcester Shrub Hill (both starting at PAD). These should go well with the GMV one I bought at the beginning of the week.
Just if anyone is interested.

The 18:30 was only supposed to got to Taunton. At least it was when my ticket was booked!

I suppose that a "Last HST to Taunton" sticker would be priceless!!!

I did look at evilbay, they want £200 for three stickers. I already have the Bananer ones. One of which is up for £50? AMAZING!

I would never be prepared to pay £200 for three labels. Not worth it. £50 for one? No! :)
