Anyone know which train number it's running as for my records? Can't find a copy of the TTN online to check. The indicators on the front say 150 but not sure if it would be known as that "internally" or not...

It is indeed running as T150; TTN 150/19 refers.

its really nice to see such old coaches on the mainline/lu, granted most railtours these days are mk1/2/3 coaches (on the mainline i know) but thats all you really see, (no complaints tho!) its really nice (and i think it makes it more special because of how old are are and how they look) its just completely different and unique compared to what you normally see, really gives you the insite into how things where in early days compared to the sort of 50s/60s/70s thats mostly represented by railtours today

..........it's good to see that none of the trains are sold out suggesting that I'm not alone in voting with my feet..........

I found that rather a churlish thing to say at the time if I'm honest. It's certainly not good to see any event like this underpatronised although from where I was standing it looked pretty full so the footfall must have increased with the intervening months. The LTM did their research and established a price point that people were happy to pay.​

I rather think you'll find that more people were unhappy with the price than happy to pay it.
The trains were indeed sold out but the last seats only sold in the week before the trains ran while my and others expectation was that they would sell out within hours of coming on sale assuming the price had been more reasonable. I'd expected to pay around £80 and while still expensive, I'd have paid that.
As for being a churl...

I rather doubt that you, I, or anybody else for that matter, would find anything as no poll was taken to establish the facts. In any case, it doesn't matter now how many people were unhappy or otherwise as the trains sold out which means the LTM got it right, regardless of how quickly they got purchased. Mind you, one thing we have in common is I've been called far worse as well.......

Yes, the Saturday - if you were one of the two people at that position you'd probably remember me establishing where it was then quickly heading off to West Kensington to get a better angle; it would have been around 14.00, maybe a few minutes earlier, when I spoke to you, if it was you.

You're right, I'm sorry about post #71. It was my first time uploading photos (to any website other than email, not just Railforums), so I didn't know how it works. Maybe an administrator could change them to icons so it doesn't disturb normal reading of this forum. Now that I know how it works, I've looked through Sunday's photos and chosen my 'top ten'. Here they are:

It took me longer than I had hoped but finally I have completed a film showing the "Steam On The District" train which ran between *Ealing Broadway and High Street Kensington a few weeks ago.

The train is seen at nine stations (Ealing Broadway, Acton Town, Chiswick Park, Stamford Brook, Hammersmith [District / Piccadilly], Earls Court, High Street Kensington, Ealing Common, North Ealing) sometimes travelling in one direction and sometimes in both directions, plus there are several views between stations from passing Piccadilly line trains. Some views include an element of "people watching" to show the crowds of people who attended and filmed this event - this explains why I sometimes stepped back from the front of the pack. Apologies, you get to hear me speak a few times. I tried to be brief!

The purpose of the special journeys was to celebrate 150 years of the London Underground District line which first opened on 24th December 1868.

When the service first commenced the Metropolitan Railway provided the locomotives and rolling stock. Therefore it is appropriate that the train used on this special event also comprised (vintage) Metropolitan Railway locomotives and passenger carriages, although (for this event) the train also included a four wheel carriage which is thought to be the only surviving item of rolling stock from the District Railway's steam train era.
