Good morning all! I came across this forum via a Google search for MTR and OPC, this thread has been very informative thanks. I've applied a for a trainee drived position at Old Oak Common depot and completed the OPC test back on the 15th. I'm just a bit concerned that I've not heard back from MTR yet but this sounds like it's the norm and its approaching 20 days now so I hope to hear soon. Anyway have a good day all and good luck with your applications.

It was manic, especially part 3. I did mine over 1 week ago and I'm still waiting for a reply. There appear to be a few people waiting for a reply from Crossrail, regarding how we did in the tests.

Hello all,
I completed the VSE tests today. I feel I made a few errors. I appreciate that these tests are designed so that you will make errors but just trying to get feedback from others as to how many are acceptable?? I felt that I made too many. Bit disappointed with myself

I have been waiting 15 working days (Mon-Fri) for my VSE results. I made about 2 mistakes in part 2 and around 6 in part 3 and only completed 20 questions out of 25 in the SJT.

I'm now fed up of waiting and losing hope by the day. I'm getting close to the 20 days waiting game.

Do you kind people remember how long you waited for a response after taking the initial OPC SJT test? Twenty days is up for me today but I'm not sure if that is relevant to the OPC. I'm looking forward to hearing one way or the other.

Did my vse and sje a week ago. Had email today inviting me to assessment day on 31st July. Gutted as we are out of the country on holiday from 28th July so have just sent a pleading email to see if can change the date. Here's hoping. ...

Hi got my assessment invite too. Other then the provided material is there anything on here that we can use to prepare. I did see a sticky for the group bourdon practise

Also the assessment centre has about 5 different tests. Is it only the group bourdon which you have 2 strikes on or every test in the assessment centre.

Thanks and good luck all

It's a 2 strike rule for the assessment centre and fail any of the tests you'll have to wait 6 months and only have one chance left

I got the dreaded email, that I failed the assessment. I got zero wrong in part 1, 4-6 wrong on part 2 and 5-6 wrong on part 3 of the VSE.
I passed the M7SJT.

I'm totally crushed. I believed l failed part 2 of the VSE. Does that mean I can take no assessments with another TOC, for 6 months, or does this only apply to MTR Crossrail. I'm still shocked I failed the VSE, as I thought I smashed part 3.
Good luck to all the guys that passed.

You can apply elsewhere as long as they don’t use the vse.
