Well, the station is in Wales but neither of the two suggested so far. Looking for a potential anagram might be a way forward!

Hint: this is one of two separate terminal stations on different lines, serving the same town, both open today in passenger service. "Same name, different suffix" -- fictional model: Crumpleton General, and Crumpleton Victoria Road.
